Last night the Kell Hounds ran with a group numbering from 4-10 guys (shifted as people were on and offline).

During one round where we took 8, we dropped with a 4-man. At the beginning of the match they introduced themselves and told us what their tag meant.

I replied in kind and said "We're gonna head to X location, hole up, focus the first 3-4 "heroes" and counterpush hard."

The response was "Roger, sounds good. We'll back your play."

Turned out that instead of massing together and hitting our position, the enemy split themselves up and it was too tempting...we went out to kill the 1-3 advance loners and were then surrounded in a valley on two sides.

I typed out what grid location we were going to reform and push toward, and, lo and behold, the 4-man was WATCHING for communication and wheeled around PERFECTLY to flank the opposing force. I think we won 12-3.

I have rarely had another group not in comms so chill, communicative and competent. Had they not said something first, we might not have found that synergy.

Thank you. You guys were awesome. Talking and teamwork. ALWAYS OP.

I've dropped lots of times as a 2 or 4 man with an 8 or 10 man main body and the larger team just ignored us or wanted to use us as meat shields. Most of those matches didn't end well for us.

Good to see some teams are including the entire team in the plan and communicating.

It can be a pain to quickly type out what your group is intending. It can be a REAL pain to do it in the midst of combat.

But losing because 2 of your lone wolves went off completely by themselves and set you up for a 10 v 12 right off the bat hurts worse ;)

Be the first to reach out...it can help. A lot of large groups get used to having their advice ignored, too, when typed out. Let 'em know that you're watching and people often talk more!
