So, I noticed something... In one match today, one yesterday, and two or three a few days ago, I noticed something odd. I'm standing around, minding my own business, and all of a sudden RIGHT ARM CRITICAL DAMAGE! No screen shake, no fire direction indicator, no firing sound, ping, blast effect, nothing. I've no idea what hit me.
Is there a weapon in the game that doesn't trigger any hit "warnings"?

Lasers can be overcome by other racket, but I'm guessing you know that. No idea about the hud damage direction indicator.

Sounds like you have a bug. Be it unique or not best report it to Customer Support.

All damage from weapons will at the very least give a HUD indicator. If you are in HPG you will not get any audible notification, as it exists in a vacuum. Gauss rounds can sometimes be pretty stealthy, but again, you should still see a red indicator on the HUD.

I've gotten damage to extremities when teammates are trying to run into my space, causing collision detection to go nuts.

I've had this happen but I've seen the gauss rounds actually fly at my mech, no cockpit shake of JJ Abrams lens flare blinding my screen, just inflicted damage. Which brings up an oddity where in a match a single salvo from 2 gauss rifles took off 40 points of armor plus made my internals go bright orange. Perhaps when they crit something goes buggy and some of the effects don't register.

Lasers sometimes have that effect, as does HSR.

I call it Ghost Damage.

depending on time from last encounter, it could have been Lag, and it caught up to you all at once...had this happen, not to me, but to my target...fired....no damage...fired, no damge, then BOOM all the damage....'sploded mech....

I've never had gauss rifles fail to register a massive impact sound, I LOVE THAT SOUND btw. One of the best audio effects in the game.

...so far, this seems the most plausible explanation. Either that, or someone's been slipping drugs into my food lately.

Spheroid. It's a Union. If it was ovoid it would be an Overlord. That's the difference between a company and a battalion.
