actually it doesn't use very much future tech if any.
has endo.
Standard armor
and XL engine
Gauss
LRMs
Tag and LAMS

The only thing we don't have is LAMS

some of the other variants might use future tech but the main one is perfectly possible now

http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Warwolf

But they wont release just one variant, would they?

Actually its clan mech.
So It pretty much has every bit of tech it needs. the LAMS is the only thing the prime is missing. the A and B would both be possible right now in the game if the LAMS was added.

The Warwolf has Reactive Armor, not Standard.

missed that part. but it weights the same as standard armor. so why not just put it in standard armor?
Reactive armor is useless anyway, this armor specifically only counters LRMs and air strikes. Air strikes which it could easily avoid, and LRMs which in this game are borderline useless unless they are boated.

I would buy a Firemoth. I want it so bad! Hill humper and so much faster than any other light that it would be able to run circles around them and be the ultimate scout/harasser.

Give me a Madcat Mk II (or JJ Dire Wolf variant). I used to want a HBK IIC more than anything, but after seeing clan AC implementation I'm less excited.

Reactive works for ballistics as well. It does have the issue of occasionally exploding when hit and removing all armor from a location. Price to pay for being able to absorb twice as much damage from two out of three weapons classes.

I removed the UrbanMech from the "Guerrilla Pack".Any suggestions of a common light mech to replace it?

So, they will release the MASC mechs (even if maybe without the MASC itself). Good! Updated the original post.

Really hoping you're wrong about the Dasher, i think and pray it is too fast for the game engine, because its going to suck donkey nuts if we get it, and we dont need another bad light mech (even if it does let you take 2x Dires in CW).

It will lose both arms every game and be a stick. cant use them to ridge peek because you need to expose the cockpit to SEE the target.

Also think they will give us the Cauldron Born instead of the Woodsman, personally... cant even find the woodsman omnimech on solaris7 to see hardpoint locations.. its a bit of an obsolete mech i think

You might be right: they will probably release the Arctic Cheetah instead of the Fire Moth and the Cauldron Born instead of the Woodsman.

However, I hope the light is the Fire Moth: the Clans don't have a super fast light mech to fight against Locusts, Spiders and Commandos.

About the heavy mech, I proposed the Woodsman because the Cauldron Born is too recent and it could be saved for the Clan Wave IV (alongside the other "reinforcement" invaders).

Well, let's see what will come up. I will probably buy the top tier anyway.

Honestly, i think there is no chance of getting the Woodman, i can only find details on 2 variants for a start, and lore has it being obsolete and not used by any clan at this point.

looking at Sarna it would also suffer from all of its usable hardpoints being in the arms, though it does come with a somewhat interesting STD engine it couldn't really zombie because all it has in the CT are ballistic ports and 2 MGs does not a zombie make.

You are right. I didn't notice the mech has STD Engine... hmmmm... so I guess it will be the Cauldron Born.

SCat will probably be in place of the Huntsman, the only reason we are probably getting the Viper this wave is because it is an original omni. There is always a chance for a saber-like package getting released after wave 3 or 4 since there are quite a few clan medium omnis.

My guess:
Wave 3:
Light - Fire Moth
Medium - Viper
Heavy - Cauldron Born
Assault - Executioner

Wave 4:
Light - Arctic Cheetah
Medium - Shadow Cat
Heavy - Linebacker (3052)
Assault - Kingfisher

Wave 5:
Light - Fire Falcon (3052)
Medium - Black Lanner (3052)
Heavy - Night Gyr (3052)
Assault - Turkina (3052)

Saber-like Package:
Medium - Huntsman
Medium - Pouncer
Medium - Grendel (3053)
Medium - Phantom (3052)

Of course that still doesn't include the CSV omnis or the Stooping Hawk, but I feel those would probably never get released.

I think you nailed it!

(I updated my list in the OP - should be more accurate now)

Dang, all this time I was thinking the Woodsman had XL Engine... :(

Depending on how far the timeline advances, I'd throw lots of money at PGI for a celestial mech package.

Since apparently we are getting 4 variants per mech, i guess the only question is: Which Executioner and Cheetah will they leave out? Im not too bothered about the Cheater, the Prime is good enough without any help tbh.. but the Executioner is a different story... They could really screw it by leaving out the D variant (I hope they have more foresight than that, its going to need a lot of help with 12 tons tied up in Hoverjets and MASC)
