So Russ stated that laser hit registration was "maybe fixed" based on that server tweak.

But I just put 4x ml and 2x LPL into a stationary Centurion's CT backside (I was moving at maybe 10kph since I saw the opportunity for a clean backside hit) and somehow didn't make it through the armor......

I'm buying fraps right now so I can start recording this ****, but everybody from all around, post those videos or stories on failed hit detection!

Not hating on Russ, just trying to prove that there are some serious issues...

Hit detection for me went from like, 40% damage to 90% damage. Still have a few moments when everything's chaotic that damage doesn't seem to register, but it's drastically improved over where it was.

Check your router, modem, and make sure you don't have any programs constantly accessing the internet like google drive or dropbox.

Reoccuring problems. Sometimes lasers register, sometimes near or complete absence. No obvious pattern.

Sadly I have been seeing my SRMs not register more and more again. Still alot better than it was before though.

The last 2 days were really a pain, effective laser damage went down alot. Really kills the fun, sigh!

It was fixed for one patch, then they broke it again with the quirk patch.

All of this happened before, all of this will happen again.

I still believe they went back to lowering the fps of the server after it crashed before the weekend, as it might not have been able to handle the 30 fps it ran at when this thread was started a few weeks ago. So hitreg is back to it's old unreliable self again.

They should really get better servers than old Commodor 64s.

I've had no problems whatsoever with pulse lasers. They are very very deadly accurate. I can hit lights in the torso at 300m no problem both moving.

Hitting and have registration problems are two totally different subjects, and not the point of this thread.

I'm not talking up my skill I'm saying that when I choose to hit a torso it hits the torso - there's no registration problem that I can see.

If anything, laser hitreg became just more random.
Running a 3xLPL 5xMPL BNC is like playing the lottery. Sometimes it registeres most of an alpha and totally wrecks someone. But more often than not, it does little damage. The more weapons are fired at once, the worse it gets. Interestingly, it also fails at static (heat shutdown) targets sometimes.

Please fix that.
