Will a group of 12 players have to adhere to 240 pts each or 720 pts per group?
When will the ability to eject from cockpit be available?

240 tons per players.
Eject will be available in the new game mode, I would expect to to come out with that game mode. Although, it does sound like it will only be part of that game mode.
And of course by "eject" they mean "self-destruct" as it just blows out the cockpit, and treats it like you died.

Cuz they will all roll TBW and DWF? And when they arent in those, SCR? The high end clans wont run a single anything else....maybe some HBRs for ECM, but past that? naw.... that will be the grounds for nerfing the entire weapon groups for hte clans and making the KFX, WHK and all the other mechs even worse yet.

I wouldn't expect to see all that many Dire Wolves. However, 3 Stormcrows and a Timber Wolf is 240.

Not trolling at all. I was asking geniune questions. That your first response was that I as a troll or that the topic was trollish in nature...says a lot.
Back to topic - if it's 12 v 12 - will both clan and I.S teams adhere to 720 tons PER team?
This means the make up an individual's 4 mechs becomes a strategic concern.
If a player as mentioned above brings 2 Atlai to the game and both Atlai die early in the game (cause who wouldn't target an Atlas) then he would respawn in 2 locust which would make him a liability to the team in my opinion.
Remember, a typical match lasts 15 to 10 minutes - that's 24 players with 4 mechs each - that's a lot of time...
I guess I brought this up because the make-up of a group suddenly becomes of key strategic value.
If the goal is to last as long as possible so as not to respawn does that make lasers a bigger consideration than say ballistics?
How would this affect role warfare?

One scenario is CW will end up being the "third queue". Lots of people will try it for the first couple of weeks then discover they're constantly being stomped by the well-established, highly-trained and organized Units no one wants to play with (as you said, there's no Elo matchmaking in CW). These casual players will then go back to the old group and solo queues or quit MWO for whichever shiny new game comes along. The remaining solo players will be safe again (the solo queue was created to stop the big, organized, well-trained Units from stomping PUGs who were leaving MWO in droves as a result) and small casual groups will be safe if they play during peak hours when CW is on. The weakest of the big Units may give up on CW as well or merge with the stronger ones so that in the end, CW ends up being the playpen of the top half dozen or so big Units.

Because most of the high end merc groups ARE running clan, yes
Nerfing them more will make the game WORSE not better
Clans are SUPPOSED TO BE SURERIOR

Wasnt ME who said thered be no elo; was the devs. Also; no 3333 but you dont really need that when you make the drop weight so small
By all reports the devs want it to be "hard core mode" So they either want all their hard work to fail or they WANT the number of ppl playing it to be small.
I dont get it imo

And once those direwhales are out, all the opposing group has to deal with is two mist lynx, a liability in my opinion.
Yes, Clans have the upper hand...and yes, SOME of those high end merc groups will go clan...but what does it say about said group when it wins against inferior I.S. mechs and still lose 75% of their force...not so high end after all IMHO

I think if you're joining or playing in a group you have to put more thought into your selection of mechs then simply the biggest mech hammer I can pilot...we ALL been in games where an enemy atlas or direwhale drops inside of 20 secs as EVERY weapon on the team turns on them and alphas'.
