Dual Loadout

what do you think about the possibility to do/save dual loadouts in Mechlab view?
Specially for PUG games ( and may be for Clan Warfare), we should get the option during spawn to choose a loadout depending on which map we spawned.
The idea behind, I really like to test some brawler builds let say, then I always land in Alpine or some other huge desert map, in which I will die well before I go into brawling range.
For this reason, most of the time I build brawling mech, I drop on 5 maps like this, I accept the Murphy, switch to a flexibler build and voila I land to brawling map.
I know there would be some cost to implement such a thing but I don't think it will be something game breaking or?
What do you think?

When you fit for solely 1 range you have to do so in the knowledge that you might be screwed with 12SPLs on Alpine peaks etc.
So, I don't think that would be a good idea, it would remove variety from builds you encounter. You'd see the same setups on the same maps over and over again. :-/

In WW2, the American army would use the same bloody tanks when fighting in the North African desert, when assaulting the French coast on D-day and when laying siege to German cities. They didn't have the luxury of swapping out all their short range cannons for long range cannons before every mission.
It's unfortunate that the stock mechs for this game are so unbalanced and that they're not as good for a computer game as for tabletop. Stock builds often have a combination of short range and long range weapons, so they're a bit more versatile in a way. I wish CW only allowed stock mechs. Maybe PGI would have to modify each stock build a bit to make it work for this game. E.g. more than 1 ton of ammo for the LRM launcher.

I think, with your argumentation, current situation makes more one type build. You don't want to have limitation of specialised build, then make all the time jack of all trades master of none.
Which is currently the situation in PUG queue, long range snipers, mid range guys, LRMs and barely any brawler.

Next game, i fancy stalker laserboat. Instead of spending 5-10 minutes re-arranging all the weapons and equipment, i just click a button and start a new game again.
Trying to memorise your settings is a pain, and gets harder when swapping clanmech omnipods about.

No,
buy 2 of the same mech if you have such issues with load outs.

I don't think a mech choice should be tied to a map choice. Having the map be unknown is fine for now.
Still, a selectable load out would save time for when you want to try something different.

I do like the idea to save loadouts, and even to change them before mission. Can't say if it has to be moneyspending operation. Noone starts campaign with noneffective combination of weapons.
I'd rather see inbefore match starts my prepared mechs to choose one from them that fits better for that said match.

I can see this for Omni mechs, since the lore for them states that they were fitted for equipment depending on the mission profile...
So I'd be okay with saving 2/3 loadouts and be able to swap between them during that 1 minute wait before the match starts. Nothing sucks harder then being set up for a knife fight on Alpine....

Or perhaps check box system that increases the probability of those maps:
Terra Therma checked 0 times
Canyon Network checked by 6 players
Crimson Strait checked by 12 players
Then Terra Therma can't be played and Crimson Strait has a 2 to 1 chance of being played over Canyon network.

BUT!!!!
In no way ever should you be able to choose your Mech after you know what map you are playing. That would lead to poor games and you would indeed see the same Mechs every time you loaded into a certain map.
