I have a quick question...
Has anything been announced in regard to the persistency? I mean is it just credit/level persistency on the character level or is there going to be some form of like planet side push and pull faction/team warfare that persists... Guess what i'm asking is .... Eve or STO style of persistency?

You can fight for and hold territory, but that won't be at launch.

Yeah, mite seem bit grindy without the territory system ... but it's Mechs so they know they have us for at least a cple of months
Having said that, I have faith the Piranha boys will look after us and implement tonnes of great content after launch!

This game isn't going to be an MMO with an open world, just to make sure you understand that. The persistency is going to be largely out-of-game, at least as it seems so far.

Thee persistent world with territories is confirmed. That world is the entirety of the Inner Sphere map. You should be able to conquer every planet except the faction homeworlds I believe, from what they've said in the Q&A's. There's specific Q&A's covering the faction combat in the Q&A forum.

I'm really intrigued to see where this whole system goes. As I think it could make for some nice deep gameplay, without the complications and massive time sink in something like Eve (which is a fantastic game by the way, just a HUGE time sink, I hope the MWO will provide a bit more of a casual environment for a die-hard mech fanatic)

There's some availability for attacking and holding planets (but not any, and storyline progression locks many major battles\planets). You earn reputation through your play which earn special bonuses (like rewarded to use a particular rare skin etc.), these deteriorate through not playing or taking negative faction actions (so you can lose the priveledge).

This is incorrect. While the map is the entire Inner Sphere, not every planet aside from homeworlds can be conquered. There are core worlds that cannot be taken over, generally those that are important from a historical standpoint.
Dev Blog 1: http://mwomercs.com/...munity-warfare/ goes into greater detail. Suffice to say, one faction cannot completely conquer the majority of the Inner Sphere.
