What is the panel type? I can't seem to find that info on the ASUS site.

It is a TN panel and that is why I just passed on it with my monitor upgrade I just did to a BenQ BL3200PT 32" 1440P. Cost was a factor also, I am sure the Asus is beyond nice with the 1440P and 144hz but could not see spending that much for a TN panel.

I doubt it's the monitor that is giving you "crack". :P

However, the NVidia drivers are probably most responsible.... depending on how old your previous drivers were. If they were prior to the addition of shader caching... that should help with improving CPU efficiency.

Ah! Thanks. I don't do TN panels either. I like color-calibrated monitors.

My last two have been a Apple 30" HD 2560x1600 TN panel and a Hanns-G 4 year old Tn panel 1920x1200 16:10. I have loved both of them but the new BenQ 32" at 1440P and a AV panel just rocks vs both of them. It maybe a 60-75hz monitor with 4ms response time, but I am loving the colors and I do not notice any ghosting in this game. Colors are just stunning and I got it for around $649 shipped to my door. Kinda high... but for what it is, not to bad at all. :D

I know that they are very nice.... but the truth is that the Tn's do not compare to a good quality VA/IPS etc.... I did a lot of research before I pulled the trigger on the BenQ 32" and I could not see spending the asking price on the Rog at this time. I even found one on Craigslist down in Louisville I believe for around $540 and still passed on it. To each their own...its a pretty high dollar monitor and if it was around $450 and no more, I might have gone with it over the BenQ. Gaming is not the only thing I do with my computer, so that also influenced my purchase.

just got a EVGA gtx 760 ti 4gb O/Ced. I routinely get upwards of 200 fps. I do have slow downs on certain maps that drop me as low as 60 to 90 fps though. Still play like crap though O.O guess next I should buy some lessons. 8P

I'll guarantee you his looking at maximum FPS and I doubt it would be 200 even at that point.
