I left my unit.
I aligned with Clan Loyalist.
I'm getting zero score.






Anything I'm doing wrong?

Were you clan originally or did you go IS to Clan? There was a cut off date this morning, so if you changed after that, it didn't go through and you need to play IS mechs for score.

yea i got the same problem... opted in like 30 minutes after start, can´t participate... left my unit for this...

Was that your Fraction when you clicked the Opt-In button? I've heard some people indicate it saves what faction you are when you first opt-in and uses that for the tournament, to prevent switching around from one faction to another mid-event.

I would suggest just trying at least 1 test game as an Inner sphere mech and see if that counts.

It's brilliant really. I'm stuck as part of the Merc Corp, despite having changed my forum profile faction before the event started.

I avoided this like the plague once I realized it wasnt faction warfare but a stealth clans vs IS. Once ppl started noting that there are no mech lists like what mechs are Steiner

Nope. The few games I played since opting in this evening were mixed; no clan vs IS thus far.

Yup; if you opt in as a Steiner, what Steiner only mechs are you allowed to use? Oh, right there arent any cause its all IS mechs

Note that you're only "stuck" if you have no 'Mechs of the appropriate tech base. Literally everyone can participate, despite what Alex says.

Edit: And actually, no one is stuck. There are Trial 'Mechs, after all. While they aren't super-optimized, they are much better than stock and a good pilot can still do very well in them.

if your getting no score as clan, drop as IS and see if ya get a score... and vice versa...

It's a poor farmer's almanac version of Clans vs IS. It's hard to take the stats credibly based on this event/tourney.

Going with specific "lore" mechs is a different manner IMO. PGI is not very good at that stuff in the first place (I mean, outside of the website or the Internets, you'd never know how special the factions were in this game).
