What if An OmniMech could use any ArmPod from Any OmniMechs in their Class?
in Lore All OmniMechs could Equip Any Omnipod from any Other OmniMech,
but for balance lets just consider Only Universal OmniMech ArmPods,


this wouldnt Just be strapping Arms onto an OmniMech they werent intended for,
but Adding an Omni-pods hardpoints to the Current OmniMechs Model as an option,
in this case location of the Hardpoint on the arm could also be a balance factor,

Any LightOmni would be able to Equip ArmPods from any other LightOmni,
Universal LAs=(1E)(2E)(1B)(1M)(2M)(1E-1M)(2E-2B)(1E-2AMS)(1ECM-1AMS),
Universal RAs=(1E)(2E)(1B)(1M)(2M)(1E-2M)(1E-2B)(1B-1M)(2B-1M)(1E-1ECM-3AMS),

Any MediumOmni would be able to Equip ArmPods from any other MediumOmni,
Universal LAs=(1E)(2E)(3E)(4E)(6E)(1B)(1M)(1E-1M)(1E-1AMS),
Universal RAs=(1E)(2E)(3E)(6E)(1B)(1M)(1E-1AMS),

Any HeavyOmni would be able to Equip ArmPods from any other HeavyOmni,
Universal LAs=(1E)(2E)(1B)(2M),
Universal RAs=(1E)(2E)(3E)(1B)(2M),

Any AssaultOmni would be able to Equip ArmPods from any other AssaultOmni,
Universal LAs=(1E)(2E)(4E)(1B)(2M)(4E-1B)(1E-1B)(2E-1M)(1B-1M),
Universal RAs=(1E)(2E)(3E)(6E)(1B)(4E-1B)(1B-1M),

we are assuming Quirks for all arms for Balance,
+3%Laser-Duration Per Energy Hard-point for an Arm, if used Universally,
-5%Ballistic-Velocity Per Ballistic Hard-point for an Arm, if used Universally,
+5%Missile-Cooldown Per Missile Hard-point for an Arm, if used Universally,


its Lore Friendly so should it happen?
& What New Builds would you Build?

i personally would kill for:
1E-1AMS Arms for my NVA, 2ER-LL 5AMS(9kAmmo)!
4E-1B Arms for my WHK, 8Lasers!

Also yes. Ice Fridges with twelve small lasers going 142 with the Shadow Cat's ECM torso in a couple of months. Whoops. proposal said arm-mounted pods only, no torso. Nevertheless, 142kph w/12 cERSL.

Then I'll run a 2x cLPL Adder w/ECM for seconds. Just because I can. Delicious KFX-C right arm.

It still has less armor and pod space though, along with whatever speed differences there are for its engine.

I'm not defending the idea though, because it is a pretty bad idea. It's just bad for reasons other than the one in this quote box.

Oh yeah. Awful idea balance or gameplay-wise. Great for offbeat theorycrafting. Also good for nightmare fuel when you remember that the Executioner is an assault 'Mech with a 7E right arm and there's, like, four different options for 4E left arms in the assault category.
