A lot of my matches today are ****** up. Im getting no indication that Im getting hit/taking damage and no warnings that LRMs are coming. The servers were running great last night but today is almost unplayable. I completely lost a leg in one match and never noticed until I tried to move....

Its definitely lagging. You can see the lag your self if you ping the server at 192.99.109.129 with this command at the command line.

ping -n 100 192.99.109.129

it will ping the game server 100 times, and you'll probably see your ping do something like this example. (ping from my machine about 5 minutes ago)

see i made bold every ping that's around 150 or more. my normal ping is 105ish so that's like a 50% increase in network lag.

what happens here is that most of the time its completely playable, its just at the right moment, every now and then, something happens and your not getting warned / updated correctly due to high latency.

the company that hosts the equipment/building is notorious for having a really poor network.

here is some quick links i found confirming what we all can tell by playing the game

http://www.webhostin...d.php?t=1296073
(poor connection speed commented by several web masters)

https://forum.ovh.us...fully-collapsed
(links completely collapsing during incoming routes to OVH canada)

https://forum.ovh.us...rious-countries
(report from their tech support that a major fiber line failed) (also that they rerouted traffic at the expense of some users performance)

Also here is the biggest smoking gun that i can find

http://status.ovh.co...details&id=8038
(they cant handle incoming traffic from Newark.) (that's the router i connect through to then forward to mechwarrior servers)(1 of 2 connections incoming from the whole USA)

My pings arent that bad. But typically Im at around 50ms. Lately I've been at like 100ms. That plus horrible FPS is makes this game frustrating.

Had some wonky behavior earlier, did not run a traceRT at the time though.

Wait....didn't PGI just move to this new data center a month ago? if thats the place you are referring to, why on earth would PGI move there?

It's PGI, probably saved some money by using them as opposed to a reputable place. I've seen many many people have issues since the move, particularly the gang down in the South Pacific.

I used to have a wonderful, low, steady ping, as I recall around 30. Since the move it's been pretty awful. I usually don't say anything when these threads pop up because I know so many have it much worse than I. Just ran a ping and I'm at average 110 now. It fluctuates wildly in game from about 80 to up around 160. It's enough to see incoming fire, dive behind cover, then watch my ragdoll light up all over while I'm sitting out of any possible incoming fire. And I'm not in BFE, I'm in Austin, Texas on a 300 Mb connection.
