Its similar like you did to the gauss, PGI. Insert a bit delay to make sure only ppl with skill could use the weapon properly instead of hiding behind a hill and fire LRMs far far away from the real battle.
Mech with direct contact should have no delay with locking missiles. But mechs with indirect contact (target linking) should have delay with lock. Because target linking data needs time to be transfered between 2 mechs ;)

Tartget T
Mech A with 2xLRM20 lock time 4 secs
Mech B with 2xLRM20 lock time 4 secs
Artemis, Tag, Narc provide the same bonus.

Scenario with indirect multiplifer = 1.0
A sees target T. Direct view.
B is standing somewhere, cant see T but has location of T because of target linking. Indirect view
After 4 secs A nd B locked T and fire the LRMS.
T is destroyed.

Scenario with indirect multiplifer = 2.0
A sees target T.
B is standing somewhere, cant see T but has location of T because of target linking.
After 4 secs A locked T and fire the LRMS.
T runs into cover.
After 8 secs B locked T and fire the LRMS.
T is damaged but not destroyed.

It will be like "gauss charge" for LRMs. You want lock faster, you have to spot your own target or stay in the group.
UAV should be with multiplifer = 1.5
