A couple mechs could do with some expanded options, the Ice Ferret Prime is inferior to all other Ice Ferrets because it is the only one without any center torso hardpoints.

I think we could get a world of difference out of the Prime Mech with a center torso missile or pair of ballistic slots, it might mean moving a fixed structure slot to a different omnipod on all variants, the right torso of all the omnipods has no hardpoints and 7 free slots, with the limit of 9~ tons of pod space, I don't think many people would be that dissapointed. at least some option so it wouldn't be automatically passed over.

Although if all the variants were changed to have 2 free slots in the center torso, that would allow for large pulse lasers and ppcs to be mounted in the A and C.

The IFR-A right arm could also do with a 2nd energy hardpoint, just to balance it out with the Prime left arm for aesthetic reasons.

The hardpoints are, as usual, based on TRO stats. It is highly unlikely that we will be getting changes like you ask.

nope, But maybe a quirk should go for a clan mech with no CT stuff?

ie...

Ice Ferret Prime =
ER PPC cool down 5%
Energy weapon cool down 5%
Exp bonus = 5%

And maybe some that makes some distinquishable features between other variants?

Direwolf Prime =
ER Med Laser cooldown 5%
ER Large Laser cooldown 2.5%
Energy Weapon cooldown 2.5%



Direwolf A =
Missile cooldown 2.5%
Large Pulse laser cooldown 2.5%
AMS range 10%


Using some concepts from the IS quirk overhaul because lets be honest. Some mechs are UP in MW: O...
Nova for eg was made to alpha strike those medium lasers over and over. Do not want that to happen in game but maybe for say the Prime we remove ghost heat or reduce heat of all energy weapons? Kinda funny that it can't even fire the ER Med Lasers without ghost heat and still over heat with 6 er med lasers fired after each other.

The Summoner is in the shadows off the timberwolf the ice ferret is the 3rd wheel to the stormcrows etc.

Numbers above are just placeholders for the sake of idea. The point is some quirks to each config CT to make them a bit different as we got a problem in game where some mechs can be what ever configeration they want with only penalty is no more set bonus which isn't at all a problem after mastering or even before getting the first perks.

(Also can we have the ability to buy other configs in this timeline? ie Kitfox A?)
