My PC clocks in at 2x the recommended overall performance... not bad for a $700 build 18 months ago. (ATI 6950 2GB, i5-2500k, 8GB ram)
Also, is it just me, or is it a bit steep of a requirement that the recommended CPU is quad core? Not that I have a problem with it, but damn, I know a lot of people who still use dual core setups.

On Windows (64bit) it's at: C:\Program Files (x86)\Futuremark\
EDIT: Use the uninstaller in control panel to remove it. Don't just delete the directory on C:\.

It asked my permission... I said OK because futuremark is pretty well known for benchmarking. Of course, it could just SAY futuremark and not actually be using their software, but meh. Looked less harmful than a lot of **** sites out there.

When I did an uninstall it actually stopped some process that was still running which I find kinda obtrusive. Especially considering it barely tells you anything in the report.
If anyone has it installed, i'd be interested to check the your task manager under the 'processes' tab and see if anything called futuremark is running.

- The Game-o-Meter detects that your video card has 320 MB onboard video memory. You need to upgrade to a video card with at least 512 MB onboard video memory.
This was my laptop ... not my desktop.

Wow! Awesome attitude!
Also, as previously stated, Futuremark/3DMark/et al - are quite reputable and have been around since.... since benchmarking. Would likely trust them sooner than I'd trust some 2-bit game dev called "Piranha" ;P (I kid.)

Yea, futuremark is running still after the test, a 1MB process. so tiny I really, really don't care. I am curious though if it auto restarts or only runs when triggered by the test... restarting now I'll let you know.
