TTK has gotten progressively lower over the course of the games history, but Time To Cripple has gotten lower still, even in 1v1 scenarios. It's to the point where even the briefest moment can do serious damage to a mech. Volley fire and burst has come to dominate and it has grown so very tedious. I almost never feel like a pilot of a heavily armored walking tank anymore, so much damage can be put in one spot in an instant that I barely feel any tougher than I do playing CS or Arma. Even if you aren't killed, many chassis can be crippled out of the fight in a heartbeat. Even my medium can drop a 50 pinpoint alpha with enough heat on all but one map to do it twice in a row, and cools quickly enough to keep up the pressure afterwards.
I find myself frustrated and annoyed in more matches than I find myself enjoying the game anymore to be honest. Maybe I need a break.

Pumping out 50 hitscan damage in half a second used to be a very impressive thing.
Now it's only moderately impressive. But immensely fun.
Sorry about removing nearly two tons of armour in half a second...

Means you got hit in the nuts, literally.
I heard some mechs have wonky hitboxes in the groin. Insert joke.

I've heard that BJs have a devastating effect on an enemy's Wang.
Wat. Why are you looking at me like that.

What is the TTK supposed to be?
To me it seems about right, and i mainly pilot lights.
Sounds to me like you peek in the wrong spots/times.
Most players have the BAD habit of camping and peek-a-boo'ing the same spot too many times.
Enemy leaves reticle right where you were and presses button when you peek back out.
Remember this: only go to the same well twice, then find another well.
Or just get an angle and push on the enemy.

Id rather have death by 250 cuts, rather then 5 like we have now. 1000 cuts is a bit much for sure.

It's no fun to shoot another mech and have nothing happen either. "So that's 6 AC20 hits, only 4 more before I open that section up!"

I love you.
Wait, why are you running away, come baaaaackk...........

TTK is fine with me. I drive HBKs, haven't even touched them post-quirk, and all of my experiences with them pre-quirk are that I usually get to fire at least half a dozen salvos before taking a dirt nap, unless I seriously screw up (and then it's my own damn fault). Some matches I die early on, I still have ~150 damage, which means I at least got to fire 3 or 4 times before exploding because I was an idiot.

So, what about this idea:
Every mech gets a free 1 time usage UAV, the basic consumable UAV gets a 3 time usage and the advanced version 5 times usage. Then you don't need to peek around the corner with a multi-million cbill mech but just sacrifice a drone instead. If you have a BAP equipped, Bitching Betty will alert "Enemey UAV detected" if it's 120m around you. And I would give the UAVs a bit more armor/HP so they don't get shot down so quickly. This would be a good distraction for a push: put UAV up, enemy team gets busy with shooting it down and meanwhile you rush in.
I think this would put some more strategic and awareness into the game play.

Lol, about 6 AC20 hits nearly cores an Atlas, its max armor CT is 124, of which half is internals, so like 9 to drop it should you land everything CT, otherwise, yeah, you will need alot......Which is about right. Mechs are already kinda untanky given the fast ROF and PPFLD

Protip: Stand still for at least 10 seconds before peeking. By doing so you will detect seismic and the most of the enemies will find something else to focus on. Then peek.

Or slice the pie, turning the corner from a distance, rather than hugging the corner as he turns it. This will cause more gradual exposure, limiting his exposure to 1 or 2 enemies at a time.
Assuming he has long-range weapons, that is.
If he's in a short-range mech it may be better to stay down and let scouts do their job.
