So heres the queston, are the devs doing random closed beta invites or are they going for specifics? Have they given non-Americans closed beta keys or is it a USA only development? Are they going for a broad group of system specs or are they looking at high spec?

For example, if I was in the USA and had a super computer as a gaming rig, would they favour me?

Or if i has the exact minimum spec system they listed and lived in some remote country using 128Kb ISDN, would they want to test that under closed beta?

Basically what do we know of the selection process, just curious (in a guard house sitting for 12h with 3°c outside and bored.)

Can't say for sure, but I have a home-built rig and I got into the diablo 3 beta before my friend who was on a mac laptop, and he signed up wayyyyy before I did. So if they choose in a way similar to Blizzard, then maybe yes. However, that's only one occurrence that I have experienced personally. However, the system profiler isn't locked in like Blizzard's was, if memory serves. So it may not be as reliable for them to base their choices around the specs people can send in.

Edit: my question is, do the higher priced founder's packages get preference over my measly 30USD? I can understand if yes, but I hope not. I promise I'll upgrade once I can play for a bit! I SWEAR

What bugs me is that it assumes i only have one pc, i have 4 gaming pc's all with completely different specs.
