I'm currently downloading a 244mb patch with an ETA of over 3 hours???? Did I travel back in time to 1996? Anyone else experiencing problems?

No problems here... took about a minute to download the patch.

very slow here too 10/1 mbit connection and the patch took 40 minutes to dl

Yes me. 32Mbit Kabel - estimated time 1,5 hours

pretty much the same.... 16mbit DSL -> almost2 hrs, now down to 1,5

time for some heavy metal then.

100 mb cable. German too...

Maybe it's the NSA downloading their data in bulk.

10mbs EU here, ETA 9 hours. And it just recently crapped out and had to restart due to a hash mismatch.

It now wants me to reinstall the whole game. I'm moderately upset. And running the repair tool.

Sigh, I guess the fault is not on PGI's side and at least it's not only me. Yes, all of you, you suffer, too and I take comfort in that...(joke)

I'll set my alarm a bit earlier so i can at least tinker a bit with the Mist Lynx tomorrow.

I had this issue, too, last patch. A friend of mine explained that he had had it early on in beta and that they had discovered it had something to do with the data on the server routing info to you (that is my unprofessional attempt at summarizing it). If this is the case, apparently there isn't anything to "fix it" since it is an issue en route to you, but he used a VPN to pick another "route." I had this problem constantly after the last patch when I was in Argentina. It happend 3/4 of the time I tried to launch. Now that I have moved I never see it any more. *Fingers crossed it doesn't happen this patch...*

For the people experiencing slow download speeds, are you using the DNS servers your ISP gives you or have you changed it to public DNS services such as (Google, OpenDNS, etc)?
