TAG lasers and MG's are annoying as hell to use. I own a Thunderbolt with the MG's still on the left arm, but I never use them as I have to hold down the fire button to shoot, which means using all of the other weapons becomes a nightmare.
For the TAG lasers I use a programmable mouse, but for some reason I can't get it to just hold down the button it is simulating. I can only get it to hold the key down for a set number of seconds (20 seconds seems about right to me), and I can't use chat while it is working since it spams out the key press.
Even with that I feel like I have an advantage with my mouse that other players don't have.
Isn't it time we got the ability to also have keys that toggle a fire group on and off? Press the key, and the fire group just goes and goes until we press it again.

I think most folks use macro software to accomplish this these days.

I just use right click for those weapon types. MGs on? Right click.
Tag? Right click.
Got both? Right click.
Honestly I see some of these guys with the tag, and I can tell which way they are going from 1,000 meters away as I see the laser beam dart about like a pressure washer in the wind.
"Psst, hey, check out this moron. Lets swing around behind him and leg him so we can laugh and poke him over and over."
"What moron?"
"The dude with the tag laser."
"I can barely see those."
"Switch on thermal or night vision."
"WHOA! It glows!"

For the TAG at least, there is almost no reason you'd ever want it off, and if you do for the occasional stealth purpose giving it the AMS style toggle would suffice.

yup, just a simple on/off command. Never understood what it wasn't personally.
