... you mentioned Grayson Carlyle's father, Durant, piloting the Shadow Hawk before him in your patch notes. That is, of course, not correct, as his father piloted a Phoenix Hawk in which he was killed. :D

That NEEDED to be said ;-)

It bothers me too. They could have just asked me what I piloted ... before I died and became this ghost.

You can't say he only ever piloted one mech
He could of bought a shadow hawk and not liked it
Spent a ton of cash modding it
Still not liked it and set it aside
Gave it to his son when the time came

Just went and looked at notes
It says
"This multi-role Shadow Hawk was once piloted by the renowned Grayson Carlyle of the Gray Death Legion, as well as his father, Durant Carlyle"

It does NOT say
Durant carlyle piloted this shadow hawk exclusively untill he died and after that his son drove it

Durant drove the PXH-1 Phoenix Hawk.

Another pilot in the Carlyle's Commandos (Ernest Hauptman) drove the Shadow Hawk. it was sabotaged by a spy, so Ernest was piloting a Wasp at the time of Durant's death.

The Phoenix Hawk is a better command 'Mech, so it makes sense that Durant piloted that.

Later (after Durant's death), Grayson captured the Lori Kalmar's Locust by threatening her with a shoulder-launched inferno SRM (she has a debilitating fear of fire). The Locust and the two Wasps were the fighting force of the Trellwan Lancers for a while. Then the sabotaged Shadow Hawk was captured and repaired, so Grayson took that as his own. He eventually piloted a Marauder and a Victor before his death.

Unfortunately took a wrong turn and ended up in a dead end alley.Try running at full speed in a Locust and reading a map at the same time ;)
