New map is great concept. My only gripe is there is no good color schemes. All the same colors in the maps. Green, snow white, night(turns into night vision green), heat (which is basically gray and white), but no multi colors. Have some creative insight and use the vast colors out there. Look outside the color box.

there was a time we had a very different heat vision. but it was too good and used on nearly all maps. you could see enemy mechs in a distance of 800m+

even now I use heat vision on nearly every map. it is sad, because it makes the game 90% monochrom to me.

There was a video somewhere on the map making process that detailed the palette they use. The long and the short of it is that the limited colour theme is a deliberate choice for each map.

I like it, from an artistic standpoint. The washed out toxic bleakness of Caustic, the pure industrial grey of the HPG, the harsh white desert of the frozen city maps, all awesome. Though Tourmaline isn't my favourite map to play on, it's still one of my favourites visually.

Compressed color palettes offer a distinct feel for every map. I have no problems with this. I have no desire to play in a multi color hellscape unless it's Solaris, which should be a neon nightmare.

PGI really likes the color green. That being said I recently edited my Sweetfx config to add a small tint of blue using LiftGammaGain by setting the variables 1.02 for blue.

It is a very pretty map however, especially versus the Mining map.
