Randomly, when I press alt-enter to window or fullpage MWO, it exits the game entirely.

Did not have this issue before.....

Weird. I wonder if it's related to the game freeze fix. Is it just a CTD with no error message?

Why are you doing this though, if I may ask? What's wrong with fullscreen and alt + tab when you need to do something else?

Also, there is a patch feedback forum, just FYI. You could report this one and ask a mod to move it, if you like.

I also now crash almost every time i alt+tab weather game is loading or not....i never once had a crash Alt+tabbing before...not one single time.

For a variety of reasons:
1) joined a unit, and want to watch the TS window so I can match up names with voices
2) want to open another window and surf net while waiting on matchmaker to search
3) want to get to my Saitek and mouse panels to tweak profiles

None. Its like I clicked "close" (x) or something. Game closes without any msg.

have you triedfull window mode? since i switched to that, all tabbing-related issues were gone.

what do you mean? I'm alt-entering, which moves from windowed to full. and back again.

testing it now, appears to only CTD when map is loading...

there is a third mode which is called ful windowed or so. basically you get a frameless, fullscreen window and if you tab to your browser or ts, you can see the game in the background, it will not be minimized or windowed. just look in the settings.

Best thing is, you can surf 9gag or tumblr while dead and still won't miss the game

Okay, looks like PGI is on top of this. Nice job gents:

We will be rolling out a hot-fix tomorrow, March 6th, tentatively scheduled for release at 10:00AM PST (6:00 PM UTC), with the following changes:

• Fixing an issue where players could crash to desktop under DirectX 9 when:
  
  • Engaging ALT+ENTER during a load screen, in any screen mode
    
  • Engaging ALT+TAB during a load screen, when in Fullscreen
    
  • Transitioning from the log-in screen to the Home screen

Until the fix goes out, we have posted [color="#b27204"]a list of temporary workarounds in our Patch Feedback forum.[/color]</p>
