Came stock on all warhawks, I kept it since it added almost 1x extra zoom on top of the zoom module. But beyond that, does it fill any function? Most other bonuses seems neglible, and crit chance only applies to naked components.
Should I strip it and slam in some heatsinks/ammo instead?

I have the 4 ton targeting computer and CBAP in my Streak Wolf
I can’t say there is much difference between the 1 tone version and the 4 ton (I keep taking it off and putting it back on)
I do try to carry the one ton version if I can on all my TW's

1 ton is good if you can put it in, but only if you are running lasers or missiles (which means pretty much every build except dakka) After that you get such low rewards for each ton you give up, its better to just stick with the 1.

I highlighted the point. That's why tc mk1 is always good to have, if possible.
Higher chance to kill faster means a lot; 14,5% more possibilities.
That's said mk2, have only 2% more than mk1 but with double weight (16,5%) so it's a problem.

Ok, seems fair, I'm going to downgrade to TC1's.

Tc1 mandatory imo. Higher TC are situational and optional. I have run as high as TC6 to good effect thus far.

Pretty much always take the 1ton one on all clan mechs, heavier ones not really.

I just wish the larger TC's were better/more useful. I really liked the idea of sacrificing crit slots for "quality of life/utilities".

The Peacedove in particular runs out of critslots like nobody's business, so it pretty much mandates some form of TC in nearly every build (unless heavy ballistics get used). Many other mechs can slap in a TC1 as an afterthought.

Yeah the bigger TCs are only ever useful on the Warhawk P. Much, and only because you literally ran out of anything else to equip to use up that tonnage.

Law of diminishing returns.

Yeah, there are some builds out there where you have leftover tonnage, but no slots...upgrade that TC. Kinda like on an IS mech where you'd increase engine size when you have tonnage but no slots.
