NO, fog is a way to make maps more beautiful. If you look at the closed beta river city maps it was full of fog and guess what, everyone complains now closed beta maps looked far better. All of them had fog back then.
If you want the fog removed don't complain in a few months how the map looked better at launch....

The mining collective is a good map to and has some beautifull sights even. I think they hit a new lvl with this one though. I still want the water on island city to be blue rather than red though!!!!!!!

And people who refute it refuse to listen to reasons as to why it should. Bit of an impasse really. Occams razor takes me to the conclusion that It's the internet and nobody is right.

Color, sunlight, and tasteful use of filters. Why did it take almost three years before we could have a map like this?
I've said it a long time. PGI 1.0 was never evil. They were just incompetent. They didn't know what they were getting into.
(...and struggling with IGP, but that's not relevant in this context)
PGI 2.0 is now competent. They have the expertise to finally deliver what they promised in 2012 and give us some of the stuff we want.
(Except when it comes to role warfare and information warfare, but that's not relevant in this context either)

I think you will find that's not correct, but just in case, explain to me how it feels for you, and we can compare notes to ascertain if I am in the same boat as you.

"Spot on Perfect"

yeah......my kid loaded up some 2005 combat looking game, I walked by- 80-90fps, and looked like a cheesy CGI scifi movie- ripply water, real smoke, convincing explostions....vs. my MWO experience of 30-40 fps on medium settings...same computer...same internet, hell, the SAME seat...and his games (and in fairness my other game WOT) look GREAT.
Ran offline with higher settings and the map is stunning. just awesome looking
love the game, just utterly, profoundly stumped why it runs so rough, hangs, lags, drops into the teen fps and boots me out sometimes....
Thats just not my experience in half a dozen other games.

Actually I think it is too bright. With all the mist and stuff, I am finding that I have alot better luck using heat vision which of course turns this wonderful looking map into blobs of grey.
