I'm going to guess that by artillery you mean LRMs, and by BV you mean 8V and write from that perspective. Correct me if I'm wrong. :]
For LRM purposes I would recommend against choosing a light mech. If you simply must use LRMs on a light, choose the KFX-D, it can bring 35 LRMs, a medium laser, and ECM.
If you really really want an Awesome for LRMs, get the AWS-8R, not the 8V. The 8R can shoot up to 80 missiles in one volley, though 60 is the more common build, and the one I would recommend. However, the Awesome is slow, wide, and fragile; I would recommend against it. If you really want something to shoot LRMs, I would suggest a Stalker.
8R was a beast back before ghost heat but is still a great LRM mech. It only shoots 60 at once though...if you throw on 4 LRM20s, you get 60 missiles out and then another 20 after that.

Id suggest
Adder - I love this Mech, not awesome, but very fun
Catapult - XL Friendly
Timberwolf - coz Timberwolf
Mad Dog - Not released yet but a great missile boat with good mobility
Stormcrow - Similar to Mad Dog, just a little faster
Warhawk - Mobile Assault Mech with plenty of tubes + backup weapons
You somehow left out the BLR-1S and the ON1-V.

Top Missile boat = Stalker in my opinion. If you want Clans then go with the Warhawk which is a great missile boat that can also mount a respectable amount of direct fire weapons while LRM boating.
Stalkers don't have a high tube count and tend to stream their missiles due to all the 10/6 tubes on most of them. Some players prefer that style but AMS chews up the payloads easier (like CLRMs).
