I actually really like my 2 MP build with both MP modules. Heat is what kills this mech, with this build you can shoot and evade freely and because youre constantly firing you can get a good deal of damage.

I completely agree. At first i hated it, but then i found i can go fat in my drop decks for CW if I bring 1 assault & 2 heavy's if I bring 1 mist lynx with. So I started playing it a lot and started doing really well with it once I put on the 2MP and ECM. Now i enjoy it

MLX is awesome: 1 ERLgeLaser, 2 x ERMedLaser, 1 ERSmlLaser for Pug life
1 ERMedLas, 2 x xSRM6, ECM for Commando killing objectives in CW
Great Mech

the ER LL and ER med w/ecm. and the 4x er med are my two favorite builds. ecm x ER LL x ER Med does really well on the cw maps, there are spots at boreal and sulfur that combined with the low slim profile, let you hit the generators without having to worry about the ppc storm. it has its uses.

mist lynx is the biggest (figuratively, or smallest literally) pile of garbage in this entire game as far as mechs go.

I use one as a ppc/ecm sniper. It works perfectly. The armhardpoint is very high, he is fast and can jump really good. In cw its my first mech and i am able to kill some or bug them with 500+ Dmg.
Try it ...... in jump sniping he works very well. Really accurate ...

Been having the best results with 2xmpl 1xssrm4 or 4xspl. I seem to be able to survive better in this than most lights... it takes a beating.

Support your assaults and heavies and all will be well. It's hard enough for an IS pilot to take on a Timber Wolf alone, so imagine what it's like to take on a Timber Wolf while a Mist Lynx is running circles around you, snapping at your feet and getting in the way of your targeting. The Mist Lynx can be a nightmare mech, depending on the user.

I agree with this.
Besides, if the Timber Wolf pilot is not good enough, you might even take it out with a Mist Lynx alone

I did it once in Viridian Bog: luckily, he was not very good and he had many lasers: he could not stop me and, if i am not mistaken, he overheated twice letting me break its back armor with my few tiny weapons

I use that build as well. It's survivable due to speed/size if you are careful and provides some nice support as well. You are doing minimal dmg so slap an AMS on that as well.
Extra bonus is that it can "conga line" the gate gens in Boreal unpunished. Just jump parallel to the gate while shooting your MPLs at the gen when at the zenith of your trajectory - their ERPPC shots will miss you 99% of the time.
