Something needs fixed with EVERYONE only targets legs on lights.

Stun needs removed or decreased, maybe 5 seconds.

40kph max needs removed. A legged heavy shouldn't move as fast as a 170kph locust when legged.

Technically any mech should fall over if they loose a leg.

There's no real reason for the perma stunlock anymore.

Hitreg is good enough to reliably hit something moving 70.

I'd be fine going back to half speed when legged, and the removal of that 15 Kph stunlock.

You are lucky your locust running 170kph doesn't go ******* flying when it loses a leg, crashes and kills you on impact.

No-no, don't you know, Lights are supposed to be the worst 'Mechs, and Assaults are the endgame! No-one should play anything but Assaults and Heavies, so why worry about the lights!

In all seriousness, There's many reasons the Light que is the smallest. This is one small part of this.

dude we had a firetsarter tonight get legged and still take 15 seconds of being alpha strikes to die, hit box registration might be working for locust but it surely isn't for Firestarters

Firestarters and Spiders have Hellboxes, not Hitboxes. There's a portal there, and your lasers fire through into the damned souls of tax collectors, leaving the mech unharmed.

They don't die when you knock out one leg. Usually they require at least another 15-20 seconds worth of fire to kill after they have been legged.

Also ever see an medium, heavy or assault get legged. It usually takes about 15-20 second for them to dire too.

Before the 40KPH cap, I would usually get more kills in my Jenner when legged than not and would love to see the cap removed.

More seriously, a legged mech moves at the slower of 40KPH or it's unlegged speed. Anything under 80KPH (most IS heavies) still goes slower than the cap when legged, and anything faster is reasonable to cap. Those high speeds are attainable by having a well balanced machine, and you just lost the balance. A light might be able to hobble-step more rapidly than other mechs but those steps don't cover much ground.

If this is truly the case I'm okay with things as they are.

The internal structure(skeleton) of your leg is basically blown to little bits and pieces.Be glad you can walk at all.

So you want the one reliable way to stop a pack of lights removed, k.

I seen heavy mechs get legged go on to kill everyone around and win the game.

I have yet to see a light kill maybe more then 1 red core mech around them.

Just becaus ea firestarter can jumper up and down and spread some dmg out for 20 seconds doesnt mean a light who is legged for 1000m away should die right away the next time a mech walks by.

When the last time you saw a raven, commando or locust take 20 seconds to die after it was legged?

There is ZERO reason for a limit, there are only 5% lights right now its not like they're over powered.

I'm not exactly sorry... you're blitzing around at 2-3x the speed as everyone else.

At least one can "Miss" a light. (You have to be pretty terrible at the game to miss a heavy or assault, and most mediums.)

so somehow stunlock makes more sense on mediums and such?

How about admitting stunlock is a bad mechanic PERIOD. And all mechs, regardless of class should go 1/2 max speed when legged. Because it is kinda dumb to see a 170 kph Light lose 130 kph of speed, whereas a base loses...24?

Oh man, remember in (I think) Mechwarrior 3 when you'd blow one leg off of something and it would fall over dead?

The speed cap on legged mechs is fine.

Im sorry but what does this matter? What does this change a "max" speed Maye dires when legged should move at 40kph other than 25ish?

Huh. Wish I had the match I got 3 kills in my legged ember recorded, lol. (and yes, that was a rarity)

But hey, live by the sword, die by the sword? Now if we could reliably remove hit registry and lag/jj armor from Lights, then yeah I would be more sympathetic. But considering with bugged hit registry how often Lights absorb enough damage to leg a heavy before finally registering it, can't feel too sorry for you.

Yup, I can agree with a premise, but also point out the faulty reasoning, all in the same posts. I know in a perfect world how I feel it should work, but what I don't want to see is me line up a perfect shot, and get even less reward for it than now.

End of the day, until we get truly consistent hit registry (and yes bigger mechs benefit from it too, and it's worse of late, again), we will have issues.

Next time you end up with a broken leg, just tell yourself it's not that debilitating an injury and wander around on it. I'm sure you'll be fine.
