Very nice prize, indeed. Gonna be tough, but hopefully doable.

Karnak the great and wise predicts many unmastered AS7-S’s and many baby angel tears at their LRM-based builds.

+edit+

The more I think about it the grimmer I feel about my chances of meeting these criteria 20 times in solo queue. I think there is a small subset of mechs that can do this with any confidence and along with the win/loss coin flip in solo..ugh.

*edit^2*

Okay, I was wrong. This is challenging but not impossible. I'm qualifying about a third of the time and have done it in all weight classes without wildly changing my play style or using gimmick mechs. Well done.

I'd prefer if there was a fifth criteria: do not score a team kill.

Free 'Mech?

Yes please. Shouldn't be too hard over the coming days.

Solo or group play for the challenge?

Wonder if people will actually go for the win via Primary Objective (cap to 750 Points or capture the Enemy Base) rather than deathmatch rules during this tourney...

I say it's still deathmatch rules - any bets?

Not even the 50% challenge could get people to play assault or conquest and not just win on kills, I doubt this will...

The "Survive" part is really going to encourage cowardly behavior

Ah looks like I get to climb back into my Huginn again. Overall I expect it to be brutal, however I do worry about less honorable pilots scoring a kill and scurrying away to shutdown in a corner somewhere. I mean we have seen an increase in the same dishonorable pilots detonating themselves out of bounds to prevent other to gain points from the last challenge, why expect that low brow sportsmanship to not show itself in his one?

Just wish I wasn't working this weekend. Its going to complicate things.

... most of my wins consist of actually charging the enemy and getting fighting done, 75% of the time I get killed in the process of carrying my team...

all the "surviving" part is going to do is put more people in the back with LRMs and waiting for people like me to pick up the ungodly amount of slack left over from the "not fighting"

"To the Victors, Go the Spoils"

... yeah a spoiled appetite to actually help the team.

The question is are the top 3 mech on a teams Elo going to be the total Elo of the other team? In other words. Is the MM going to stop expecting 1/4 to 1/2 a team to make up for the rest of the team skills?

I am not cool with the surviving part. Matches are gonna be full of pansies who just use long ranged weapons and Lurms are afraid to get in there and brawl.

Actually.... my fellow Mechwarriors... I have devised a fool proof plan to come ahead in this challenge. True, it wont win me or anyone else a Victor(C), but that is okay.

I will wait patiently for Monday morning, and right before I head to work... I swoop in and score my point... and afterwards enjoy my 3 days of Premo time unhindered by the droves of LURM-crows and Scat-Cats (Streak Cats).

Considering I only have a total of 8 hours divided between Saturday an Sunday morning to really score anything.... yea... I think this plan is ideal.

Edit: Honestly, if the survival part was revised, I think it would be easily doable. So the real challenge is all about survivability.... which the solo PUG queue is typically pretty miserable at doing.

Except now instead of Leroys, we're going to have a weekend of two teams standing 1000m away trading LRMs and ERLLas until the clock expires.

NO ONE is going to tank for the team due to the challenge
