LRMs have become so weak that they need to be boated now which means only Assault mechs can mount enough to justify the weight and space because they can also carry a fair number of lasers or PPCs for a direct fire defense. So you see Battle Masters and Warhawks with LRM60 and an energy array, but lighter mechs can't carry that much. Also before the most recent LRM nerf you didn't see many LRM Assault boats, now that's about the only mech carrying LRMs.

I was running around with LRM30 on a heavy and firing off 1080 missles and getting no kills or even doing any serious damage to mechs today and for the past couple of weeks. That's a broken game because the smaller LRM arrays need to work in some reasonable fashion. In Battle Tech LRMs are not Assault-Mech-Only weapons.

I am sorry that some players refuse to evade LRMs, but except for a few weeks of a Bug back in April 2013, LRMs have never been what you would call dangerous to mechs. Now mechs have Radar Deprivation, multiple AMS, 5 ECM mechs per team with the Loki appearing. So no excuse not to evade LRMs. I have done this in every match and after playing about 3000 of them I have been killed by LRMs around 20 times. Normally most defeats are from Lasers and ACs.

LRMs may have many haters, but they are core tactical weapons in Battle Tech and MechWarrior and add gameplay depth.

A few suggestions would be to have low numbers of LRMs be more concentrated than boated numbers. Failing that they need to be more damaging in direct-fire combat to counter the low damage they do overall. That still leaves the problem of the LRM boats that were created by the last LRM nerf though.

Anyway, except for testing I never use LRMs anymore because they are too weak. MWO has finally become the short range Laser-only game. Very shallow gameplay. I can do it easily enough, but you want diverse gameplay so players have as much input as possible in how they like to play their Battlemechs.
