I've also returned from a hiatus of 6 months or so. Yeah, waits in the queue are longer, and I was expecting a few more changes (though less isn't necessarily a bad thing), but I'm enjoying exploring the new maps and fighting with and against the new mechs. I've been razzed a couple of time in the past week about my play style -- a couple of particularly annoying juveniles last night wanted me to press harder with my FB, because we were about to lose in conquest, which was a bit hard to take after I'd wracked up a (good for me) score of 1 kill, 5 assists and around 550 pts of damage, but that's part of playing with other people. You need a thick skin to play with a diverse crowd. BTW, I don't respond to razzes, mostly because I have a hard enough time keeping track of everything going on in combat and/or I'm busy with the actual fighting, but also because arguing with them won't accomplish much.

Think you're taking me to school, do you? (Chuckle). So...ever been in business? Of course IGP wanted something for their interest in the venture. How much was the buy out? $100,000 or $1? You don't know? Hmm... Perhaps you should think about that a bit before deciding you have all the answers. Yes, I know the copyright is until 2016. Means absolutely nothing except that's the copyright PGI has filed. Just paperwork. Means nothing about the health of the company. And yeah, I saw what LauLiao said. I just don't agree particularly.

Kind of a late post, but IGP is now dead, they've closed business doors forever... also that smart remark you made about how much they were bought out doesn't really help your argument at ALL...

Your observations don't match my experiences.

1) Wait times are rarely if ever 5 minutes (at least in my Elo class). The longest wait is typically in the busiest queue which is usually heavies. I was playing my Jager last night and the wait was typically 2 minutes or so.

2) In the matches I have played in the solo queue (which is almost all of them) ... I rarely see the same people from game to game ... it happens sometimes but since I just left a match and usually just pressed launch and they did the same then the odds of seeing them if they are in the same weight class as I am go up ... particularly for lights.

3) In any game, TS servers come and go ... with CW about to be released there are a lot of players that have likely turned to TS servers run by their mercenary corps rather than the general public servers. On top of that, the vast majority of pugs don't use TS.

4) If they can't fill 12 man teams they will drop in whatever team size they like except 11. The group queue handles any team size (except 11) these days.

5) No idea where you get the idea that "hundreds of dollars" are required to play this game. There are lots of folks on who have never spent a cent playing MWO (except maybe for a mech bay or two). Since you can basically buy any mech that is offered for MC (at least eventually) - there is absolutely no need to spend any money - you just need to spend time.

Basically ... your post comes across as a whiny troll complaining about the cost of mechs while not having taken a look at where the game is at the moment or why there might be fewer folks on whatever your favorite TS server might be.

(Also, if you were dropping in a 12 man then the odds of running into some of the same folks probably go up since I don't know how many other 12 mans are dropping at the same time but I believe the matchmaker tries to match large groups first before packing several smaller groups against a large one ... depending on the number of large groups available that can take longer).

Had over 160 people in our TS last night for the CNCI Invitational 10v10....might be why your server was so dead. Most guys where in Strana Mechty.

So you attribute mwo's issues to cbill rewards.

Maybe you can explain how more cbills would fix all the underlying issues?
