Hehehehe. But I thought misspelling words in foreign languages was like a rite of passage for most Americans? Isn't that the source of so many "awesome" kanji tattoos?

I haven't had a chance to play the tournament yet, but what makes this tournament different than any other day? There is no leaderboard, the goal is simple: 1. stay alive, 2. win the match; everything else (kills/assist) should just fall into place.

Why would player rush to LRMs for this tournament?

It's not his fault. It's taught to us as Teufelhunden in boot camp. Not sure why it's two words though. I remember it as one word.

I think they are trying to say using LRM indirect fire is good for staying alive. While this is true, I think LRMs are generally bad for winning (another requirement) if you are playing against competent teams.

You have to survive the match so whats more likely to survive? The brawler whose fighting other mechs than gets lrm rained on him or the safe lrm boat in the back. PGI can't seem to make a challenge/tourney without bring this idiotic behavior.. only good one was Halloween tourney.

People are forgetting you have to win to survive (most of the time), getting a kill and hiding in the back hoping your team can carry you is a terrible way to accomplish this challenge.

Low and behold, everyone now wants that easy kill and assist from the lrms, then to sit behind everyone else to ensure they survive the match.

More pgi fail.

When was the last time we had a brawler based tournament? Or a light based tournament?

I will just quote myself from another thread:

Here's an alternative viewpoint ...

The rules are fine. On the other hand, the quality/attitude/morals/whatever of much of the player base leaves a whole lot to be desired.

Or even ...

Say hello to the diseased organism called the Human Race.

Tournament Formula

Players with fast computers and that can aim well --> Laser Vomit/Gauss Rifles all day

Players with slow computers or can't aim well (or simply don't want to) --> LURMzz dawg

Crazy People? --> Lights

Insane People? --> Clan Lights.
