Quit your crying and hop in your best LURM hunter.

Seriously, go hunt some lurm boats. Teams with nothing but lurm boats get rolled hard. You could be the one doing the rolling!

Not quite accurate. My last match, we had 8 mechs (I died early cause I was stupid) and I flipped through while spectating) with LRMs... They were all either LRM 30 or LRM 40/60. Everyone had LRMs except 4 people (one of them myself). LRM everything. We completely **** on them. They couldn't even make it to our location. I meant to take screenshots of the amount of LRMs flying overhead but forgot. It was crazy tho.

I don't mind LRMs cause AMS/Radar Derp or just using cover... but still, I rarely see more than 2 LRM boats any other time of the week. I'll probably sit this weekend out.

maybe i am the extremely lucky one, but i have worked my butt off every match, only losing 3 of 15. now, i only qualified for points 2 of 15 times. *playing mist lynx or adder btw, just for xp to master these mechs...and doing avg 300dmg* what i am seeing is that most people are taking mechs and builds to either support the team, or be alpha strike heroes. and it seems that i am getting teammates and enemies that actually play the game with a BRAIN! so many people are complaining because this challenge does this or that. this is A CHALLENGE, it is not meant to be 20 rounds and done, it is meant to bring out the better play from people. some people troll, it happens every night. Enough of the complaining like menstrating women. if you dont like the challenge, DONT PLAY IT.

Wasn't bragging, just saying that it isn't as bad as some people think it is. If you concern yourself too much on the point then you will lose anyway.

I played a few hours tonight and didn't notice any diference in people's gameplay.

Don't die, try to kill (which results in assists), and win is all this game is ever about lol!

I guess I missed the "must win" part. When I'm in a match, if I see a an ally dueling with an enemy, I fire a that enemy to get him off my ally.

LRMs might be your best bet to get kills since everyone just walks out of cover like they're invincible, but you STILL have to be the team standing at the end.

This tournament is awesome for combining the Must win (teamwork) with survive (no suicide cheese) and 1 kill (participation).

Worst challenge yet. It promotes the worst in douche baggery. I see many mechs hiding letting others fight and die so that they can swoop in at the end and get a kill/kill steal and be ALIVE while the others fought and died from lack of support. We usually lose those matches. I'm happy for the people that have gotten points, but most people have no @#$%ing control over teammates that are selfish ******. I have yet to get a point because 1) Wins are rare because too many don't fight or 2) I fight and die from lack of support because I'm a team player. I refuse to hide like a puss and let others fight. And I'm a damn good pilot!
I'd like to see the Devs actually have a challenge that didn't promote the worst in people. I'm playing just a few more games to see if I can get a point then I'm done playing for awhile, because, sadly, this challenge has left me with a bad taste in my mouth.

Did a mountain of idiots decide to start playing this weekend? I'm seeing more suicide chargers than ever.

Well, I can tell you that if it looks like I don't have a snowball's chance in hell of getting a qualified match, I'm going to Rambo it for sure. Why stick around for an extra eight minutes in a game where you have no kills and no torso armor? I'm not going to kill anyone like that, and it just wastes a lot of time that I could be using to get qualifying games. If you get ~1/3 or 1/4 games that qualify, that's 60-80 games you need this weekend, no time to waste.

I'll post this here too...

It took 32 matches for me to complete the challenge on my raven-2x (yea light's queue is light btw)

and I'm an average (didn't even join the ranks of 100 at the last tournament) pilot with an old pc (20-40 fps) and simple keyb/mouse

so yea that is so hard omg *cries*

Horrible challenge. Absolutely horrible. I'd rant but honestly it's not worth the effort. You can have an amazing game with multiple kills and assists but because a raven snipes you at the last minute before your team wins the match, you get nothing. Kudos to the raven but its amazing how PGI has turned a win into feeling like a loss.

Guess I'll have to find something else to do this weekend....

The reward is a nice carrot but the effect is just atrocious on how it makes everyone behave. Everyone is out for themselves because if they die they lose. You should have put 24 mechs in a pit and let them fight it out in a free for all if that is the type of game mentality you want to inspire.

Seriously.... it's nice that you're trying to bribe us to play (and judging by your numbers you are needing to bribe players with events to make them play). But please have some thought into what you are going to encourage other players to do as a result. I guarantee there is going to be some team killing because there is a guy who wants a kill and NEEDS to fire regardless of whom he hits.

You really should have just made this event win+4 assists+1 kill. That means you have to be a team player AND take some initiative to get the win. Really you should have gone the other way around and made some bonus for dying early. Why? Because it encourages people to be active by scouting and pushing around a corner.

All the free crap you can imagine is not worth playing an extremely frustrating game. By the way that's how a lot of people have felt about MWO for a very long time without events adding extra shadenfreude.

If you want the reward to be harder to get then make it 40 matches or 60 matches. Don't make the "victory condition" be a complete pain in the arse.

Sorry mate, totally disagree with you, I am finding the conditions are prompting more teamwork and awareness in the matches instead of the usual match where everyone is racing to get the most kills first.

I find the conditions, of kill, assist, and survive are prompting some really exciting play.

Cheers

most games are total losses, but the people who are willing to follow orders as a group against a mess of stragglers will always win at least 12-4

to those who find me on the battlefield, heed my orders.

This tournament is not as difficult as people think. How to easily win
Option
1.get skill
2.artillery based mech
3.all of the above

OR

Option
4.steal kills at the last second (skill less way to do it)

Seriously?! Either you're trolling, or just like to make stupid posts.
It doesn't matter how much skill one has if one is losing games because at least 1/4 of the team hides like lil girls. And not everyone is a douchebag hiding out safe in the back waiting for the chance to KS. Somebody has to fight the enemy.
This challenge would have been better if it didn't require a win & staying alive both on top of a kill and an assist. a kill,, assist and one of the other would have been better. All 4 promotes douchebaggery, cowardice, and complete reliance on all 12 people working as a team.
I'm done with this challenge, I'm going to do something less painful like sticking my d!ck in a fan.

so ive played alot of matches,
ether survive with 8-11 Kill assists,
or die with 1-3 kills and 3-5 kill assists,

most matches when there where pushes they folded,
no one wants to die and lose their chance, its a bit annoying,
i dont like cowering, when i can give my life for the team,
