Id really like to play this game, but I cant get past the mechlab loading screen. After 3 seconds....it abruptly stops and crashes back to desktop.

This is cheezing me off.

We are going to need some more some info from you.

What OS are you running? Is it the 64bit version?
What is your Video Card?
System Ram amount?
Have you installed Directx 9c?
Also go to the MWO installed directory and post the omicron.log file so we can see what error the game is putting out.

Also at the patch screen if you click the gear icon at the top right you can run the repair tool to fix any corrupted files you may have.

This sounds like a minimum spec issue. Are you running an integrated graphics card, possibly an Intel HD 4000?

If so, see this thread.

That fix doesn't work for me since the new update. What hoops must I jump through now in order to play?

And upon seeing the specs, I dont think this laptop will run it. Surprising since this thing runs a few other games. Alas...I need a new system.

The CPU, memory, and video card are weak, so a lot of games made since 2008 will not work well or at all.
