Pretty much what the title says.

I know the Summoner is hardly the greatest mech out there, but nostalgia tempts me.

Stormcrow because best medium mech.

Mad Dog when it's released for C-Bills on January 2nd, again because of nostalgia, though I hear that it is better than the Summoner.

Stormcrow is by far the best mech out of the three, being partial aside. But whats most important is which one do you like the most, if Summoner is your old ride then go for it. For me my favorite mech just happened to turn out to be the best Clan medium.

The summoner only has one build (5 missile hard points) that the timberwolf can't do better. If that interests you, go for it. Otherwise, put it on the back burner for now.

The Maddog is very poor at brawling and direct combat because of the huge side torsos. It really works best as a lrm boat. If you enjoy that, give the dog a try.

I didn't expect to like the stormcrow, but I wound up loving it. Good hardpoints, hitboxes, speed and maneuverability. You won't be dissapointed with it.

Stormcrow if you go by the numbers you see in matches. The Mad Dog pretty much vanished once people had them leveled up and you only see one Summoner now and again. You see about three Stormcrows on each team minimum, every match.

That said, I prefer them in the order Summoner, Mad Dog, Stormcrow, just for nostalgia. I think the Stormcrow is so ugly only a mother could love it, where the Mad Dog and Summoner are both Uber Cool looking.

Oh yeah, and don't let anyone tell you the Mad Dog can't brawl. They obviously never ran into the 6 x SRM6 build that it can do. Ohhh so brutal.

NEVER get the summoner! if you wan the summoner get the mad dog. The JJ on the summoner dont work worth a darn anyway.

Stormcrow is good but I hate it. Just hate the Clan mediums. Though the nova gets some more points since It can alpha on colder maps and not die now.

Summoner Is okay the JJs force it to bring less ammo and weapons.

Maddog has a few good builds, but can't hold up in a brawl very long.

If you can only afford 1 set, then I'd vote Storm Crow for the versatility.

You can have 3 Storm Crows with 3, different, effective builds.


If you're the patient type, save your CBills and wait for clan quirks - that might change things a bit.
