Just wanted to announce that I am running a 12 hour session on twitch.TV this coming Saturday November 22 from 3:30pm PST until 3:30am PST. The purpose behind it is to try and do a bit of fund raising for my Movember campaign for prostate cancer research.
I got fairly into doing this Movember thing last year but I didn't have the knowledge or foresight at the time to get a live stream of the game up and running to help aid my cause.
This all came about because last September by father was diagnosed with prostate cancer. It was a bit of a shock at the time, but I am happy to say that as of now he is happy, healthy and 100% cancer free since surgery late last year. That being said, I still feel determined to try and raise money for this cause. Mechwarrior was a logical choice since I've been playing this game since closed beta, made many friends here in the community including my mates in the Blackthornes Dragoons, and also my father has been playing this game for over a year now and enjoys it very much. (Ara46 in game. Go easy on him in the chat boys, he is pushing 70
)If any of you care to join myself and some of my friends in Blackthornes on the 22 to watch, that would be amazing. Donation links are setup in the stream and if you can spare a buck or two that is awesome. If not, no big deal. I'm not experienced with this whole twitch thing... but I can promise some entertaining matches never the less. There will be pug drops, group runs, and maybe a few custom battles tossed in as I have a few people calling me out for 1 v 1... I may even take on requests from people to run builds or game types... not sure we will just have to see what Saturday will bring.
