[James Pryde IIC]

I originally coined this nearly about 1999, that every mech game after Mechwarrior 2 (MW3,MW4, MC1, MC2 etc), always contained what I can the "Theme" or Icon Franchise mechs. I say this, as I during my love for Mechwarrior, I have seen that the below mechs, are always included in every mech game, regardless of story line.

Timberwolf (Mad Cat)

Summoner (Thor)

Mad Dog (Vulture)

Warhawk (Masakari)

Elemental

Even writing it now, I hear the voice from MW2 speaking it in the back of my mind, and get a Pavlovian feeling of glee...

(Edit: The Daishi for those in the Inner Sphere. The voice used the Clan name, though, so that's what's in my head...)

A little sad to see she's not in MWO, but much respect to the devs for at least trying to match the sound

Tarantula

I know ... it's not a mech made by the clans, but they used captured and salvaged Tarantulas. I remember at the Clan Wolf Tarantula in a misssion of Mechwarrior 2. The Cloud Cobras also used the Tarantula to develope the Stalking Spider quadrupedmech.

The Warhawk is one of the most iconic clan OmniMechs and my fav. clan mech.

yeah, Hellbringer (Loki) it a good classic powerhouse mech, very crusader also along with the Gargoyle too
