Yeah. Once I get a kill and notice my team is winning, I tend to hang back and let my team finish them off. This of course is kinda bad play when people start doing this. I wonder if PGI will ever make a 'challenge' that promotes good plays.

I gave up after the 6th "ks" in a row over 3 games by someone that already had kills. I put ks in quotes because I normally wouldn't give a flying **** about it. I don't care about my k/d ratio I care about winning and if I think I did enough to enable the win. I usually don't because I am admittedly bad@pewpewstomp.

After that game I came to the realisation that this challenge was going to be a ton of that happening and it just wasn't worth the frustration.

Doing 500 damage (which is good for me), getting 9 assists, surviving and winning just isn't good enough. NOPE gotta get that one f-ing kill too... NO POINT FOR YOU goto next game.

Screw this challenge.

What promotes good play? A challenge that rewarded just winning rounds, that was called bad. So, if awarding winning more doesn't promote good plays, then what does? Setting up 500 challenges or parameters for a challenge, would that be better?

Killing 8 and dying by greed is bad play too.
I made my challenge in this way: regroup team, damaging and playing as normal, when I saw a critical mech I went hard for my kill, and then I was helping the team. I disengaged from matches when I had around 50%.

I mean, nothing espectacular, just common sense.

And 3 Victors are coming for mastering them, too :)

pfff you or blind or stupid if you think so.Game is about fighting and chance to death is 50/50 , but there is more bull*hit, you need kill, assist, survive, complete objective, win. And if one of them will not be complete= failed. This "challenge" is a joke from pgi.If i putting in a weak team 30 times in row , you think its playres problem????Its a game problem, because each team must be balanced, but there is no balance in this game. I see daishi with 4 lbx-10 ac, which destroyed 5 mechs in solo.If this is balance???Right!!!

I am all for challenges this tough. I just hope PGI remembers us warriors who can't grind a weekend to participate. We like stuff too!

Pretty much since hitting 20 I've been running around in my ECM/AMS Kit or an ECM Koshi playing suicide warrior giving the other team something else to shoot at for a while.

I had a 5 kill 4 assist match in a Warhawk with nothing left but 4 C-ERML's. Warhawks must be OP'd too.

(Note: There was only 2 of us left, so no I wasn't greeding kills)

Quite funny reading some the comments about this challenge. Didn't have much time to play. I know I suck. I managed 3 points and I already have a 9S. That'll do for me.. Hell, its only a video game.

devs just have problems with logic. They dont understand that their "rules" are ridiculous and contrary to gameplay. Its almost imposible to kill someone, assists, complete primary or secondary objective and stay survive and win match. Its absolutely ridiculous.Shame if they dont understand so simple things.Game still going down .

I can see how they came up with the rules. I didn't particularly like this challenge though. The survive requirement made so many people extremely timid. I'd also watch people get a kill and then run off and shut down. Joke was on them, though. That usually made us lose the challenge. The Halloween challenge, though. That was fun. Teams were extremely agressive. Matches were often short and brutal and I loved it.

During this weekend i had some of the worst matches in a very long time, and my W/L ratio took a serious dive. Overall it took me 69 matches to get those 20 points with my 4G(F). Let's say 7min per match, 69*7 = 483min, so 8h playtime. However, i am an experienced player. For casuals it will be harder to score those 20 points, so they need to invest a lot more time.

The frustration is understandable because those who benefit the most from the reward have the biggest problems getting it.

After getting my 10th point, I kind of like it. It's really challenging in a good way.

So, you have to get a kill and an assist. Then, you have to win and survive. You're forced to be aggressive until you get your kill, but afterwards you just can't sit back and relax(even quit the match) like the other challenges. No, you should also make sure that your team wins while making sure you stay alive. It's tough.

. . . and I like it. It feels more like a challenge and less like a grind like the other ones.

Yes, it's a player problem.

The WubShee had a 1400 damage, 3 kill, 5 assist game. You know why it was a loss? 3 players couldn't get a combined 100 damage.

The 7 kill, 5 assist, 1322 damage match was a win, because I was able to carry hard enough. Team was a bit better, and a 95 ton mech lets you carry hard enough.

I'm sure taking a heavior assault mech helps in getting scores; I know I wouldn't want to do this in a Mist Lynx. That's just torture.

If a team derps too hard, you're going to lose. If you derp too hard, you might lose.

I completely agree, it was an actual challenge this time, which is great. I'm not sure why the match quality was so much worse than normal however - it was just so frustrating to watch people act way more stupid than usual. Took me 89 games to get the VIctor and only like 2-3 of those were actually good matches... go figure.

It took me about 45-50 matches to complete this challenge. Some solo and some group matches.

The easiest way to complete it is to play something with good mobility and firepower. My two main mechs for this were a TDR-5SS loaded up with MPLS and a DRG-1N with two AC5s and one ER Large.

Don't even think about the damn challenge. Just play and help your team. Look for mechs that are close to death and try to get kill shots. You should always be doing that anyway. If you get your kill early, it's ok to play a little more defensively but the last thing you want to do is run off and hide because all that's going to do is hurt you team and make them lose the game which makes your kill worthless.

I feel for you OP. I've been playing for about 2 months and fell in love with the Spider. Let's just say though it's my favourite I'd be exactly where you are if I was piloting my Spider this weekend.

Luckily I had enough to buy the 3 Stormcrows when they went on sale. You would not believe how much better my stats are with those things. It almost feels like god mode compared to my spider. Finished the challenge in 53 games. Try playing around with different trial mechs, you'd be surprised how much your "skill" improves when you're in the right mech. I went straight from bottom 10-20% of pilots each match to top 10% just by buying 3 new mechs.

Just run the TDR-5SS with 7 medium pulse lasers. Seriously. You have 42 damage alpha that you can do again and again for easy kill shots, the TDR is quite survivable now and decently fast to close in on red targets or guarantee assists.

I was running my hero mechs for a bit trying to cash in on the extra money from the free premium time but since I switched to cheese I was able to complete the challenge in no time.
