The differentiator for the AS7-D is the 2x energy hardpoints in the CT that let it zombie. But the quirks dont buff energy weapons at all. Instead it buffs AC20 and SRM6. Other AS7 varients are better missile boats that are bought specifically for the larger number of tubes. Why are you buffing missile tubes on the energy varient with few of them?
Also please reconsider the AC20 buff on the AS7-D since it lacks ECM cloak to get close enough to use an AC20 and the MLs in the torso. It should get buffs for a skirmisher build. Possibly the LB10X since no other IS assault chassis else can slot 2 in the torso.

I feel the AS7-D would be better with LBX10 quirks paired with MPL or ML quirks moreso than the SRM6 and AC20. Give it some variety over the other more played Atlai. I love my D and that's how I regularly play it so it doesn't just feel like a weaker DDC. It's fun. The AS7-S is proving to be even more fun and since ECM is arguably not as useful with the buff to BAP/CAP, I find it more fun to pilot it these days. But meh, we'll see what they do.
Oh and sure, the BNC-3E can equip dual LBX10 but those AC5 quirks just make it sick when paired with MPL quirks. I group fire the AC5s and it's like an AC15 that fires almost like an AC2, when paired with the cooldown module. So nice and so much fun. Just rip people apart.

I was thinking of using 2 AC5s when I buy mine to finish skilling up. LB-Xs are good but with endo it restricts the amount of ammo and heat sinks you can bring. Plus I use a similar build on my D-DC.
2 ERLLS in the arms, 2 AC5s in ST, and 3 SRM 4s in the ST.
So I was thinking for the D
2 ERLLs in the arms, 2 MPLs in the CT, 2 AC5s in the ST and 2 SRM 4s in the other CT
I don't play assaults very much, but when I do, I pilot an atlas.

AS7-D needs energy quirks, specifically for ML and MPL (Nipple blasters, baby, yeah!), and a dual LB-X quirk could be nice too! The AS7-D-DC should have its quirks remade into something more generalist, so that the very few quriks it has don't lock it to a single weapon. Something like "all weapon range +5%"?

General quirks to all 3 B/E/M so its more customizable would have better.
Then additional but small specific quirks to what the most popular builds are.
Atlas shouldn't be forced into a brawler only setup, yeah they're good at it, but its also one of the best multirole platforms the IS has.
Not sure about everyone else, but I like to keep at least 1 weapon for longer range when I drive my Atlas-D.
I've even had really good runs using it as a sniper, going 1 Gauss + 3 LL or 1 Gauss + 1ERLL/2LL.
It can do it all.

I have my D running 2x ERLL, 2x AC5, 2x MPL, 2x SRM4, on a STD325.
It can get very heaty with the lasers, the AC5s and SRM are what I rely on to cool down.
Can never get used to how at an disadvantage Atlas are fighting on slope and ridges, due to torso pitch.
