We all know that the clan invasion will come to an end soon, and the only way to go is forward. So after the clan invasion will come the fedcom civil war (steiner vs davion), and after that the blake jihad.

I think we can all agree the Word of Blake lore is controversial, but i think we can all agree the mechs look sick. For those of you who don't know who the Word of blake are, they are a splinter faction of Comstar.

If pgi does release WoB mechs i think those mechs should have a red HUD much like the clans have blue HUD in order to differentiate them from the IS. Teammates should be in orange and squad-mates in yellow for even more coolness.

Question is: would you like to see and play those mechs?

edit: can't seem to make a poll, where changes made to forums?

Well the manufacturing plant yes since they did capture a lot of plants, but the design is their own. Would you like to play those mechs though?

CW is being designed around the event of the Clan Invasion. Its going to be around for a while.

Maybe one day we'll visit other events, though.

They are IS omnis. So kind of the worst of both worlds in the MWO meta.

I highly doubt this game will ever get so far. Highly highly doubt it. It took them years to make something that resembles a full game in terms of content, I don't think they'll ever get to this point.

Of course, after one season of Clan War, PGI could advance the clock to the Jihad period, and viola, IS Omnis.

After a few years I wouldn't mind leaping forward to the FedCom Civil war era.

Anything after that though and I wouldn't be interested.

Seasons are not a thing anymore. Resets may happen if something goes horribly wrong.

Or amazingly right, just saying, kind of depends on what side of the conflict you are on.

From what Ive heard mixtech mechs are gonna be the worst of both worlds. Imagine IS mechs with Clan restrictions but can mount clan equipment *shudder*. Id rather they just said no to mixtech in that case

By the time the WoBbie Omnis came out, mixed tech is canonical -- they had at least 2 decades to figure the in-lore problems out.

Thing is, if IS mechs function under Omni restrictions (i.e., no change of engine, no upgrades), they would actually fare worse than Clan Omnis. IS variability and customization is one big advantage negating the Clan weapon and construction advantages in MWO specifically.

Urgh, the Word of Blake designs are terrible, and I hope the Jihad never makes it into this game. I'd be much more happy if we stopped at the Fed-Com Civil War.

I thought the IS never managed to mount Clan weapons?

In the 3060s they have their own Omnis and a lot of other stuff derived from clan tech but I don't recall them ever mounting clan weapons onto IS 'mechs.

Personally I'm not really looking forward to having to kill my beer handlers............that's all Davions are really good for anyway..............and yeah, I think the WOB stuff would be pretty cool as long as PGI implements them in a way that is good for the game overall.

WoBBies started coming out in the '70s, so some of the IS mechs IIRC started mixing techs. Not always, some cases, but starting to become more common during and after the Jihad.
