So are we going to be allowed to upload our own emblems/pictures/textures and put them on our mechs? I'm sure we will have the standard option for camos and stuff, but it'd be nice to put some custom warning labels around. Maybe even a motto or something.

Intriguing as it sounds, i hope it doesn't happen, or if it happens, it comes with an option to deactivate. When it happenes in WoT, there were a lot of tanks with dead-ugly logos, which destroyed immersion.

No. They've said that they will not be allowing us to upload images. Instead, their posts so far have said we'll be able to customize by picking from a set of choices and colors.

I can envision it now. A toppled mech, the pilot inside is trapped desperately trying to open the jammed cockpit as the enemy Atlas lumbers ever closer. Finally the pilot throws up his arms in a futile jester as the Atlas's right foot comes down to deliver the agonizing, crushing death that is to come. A look of puzzlement comes over the doomed pilot has he reads, yes reads, the words emblazed on the bottom of the foot "If you can read this your already dead".

LOL I'm sure a code of conduct would be a first priority for uploaded images. Or else, yes, *****-monium.

That does sound fun

But to the OP. I would think putting any custom stuff in a game seems a bit hard sometimes....Even with a code of conduct

1. Either they put it in unmanaged and wait for other people to report it...Which still lets the public see the uncensored stuff (which isn't good)

2. The pay someone to literally spend the whole day just looking at people's custom images to see if they don't break the code of conduct before they approve them...which costs money (to pay the person to sit there and approve them)

Now, if they made that a high price pay service....I could see it..Then the person actually wanting the emblem is basically paying for it to be approved

I would like a custom color, but for Emblems? No, I think my House Davion symbol is more than enough.

What may happen as it did in another game later on is they appoint some poor bastage to go over each pick people upload to have on their mech to macke sure there are no copy write violations or good taste violations (i.e. no nautystuff) and if the image passes he binds it to your account. This is if they decide its worth paying someone money to actually do this. I would guess like another game it doesnt come into the game tell after the meta game gets going. Just my guess.

I think custom emblems for mercenary units would be great. Even if it's a paid service with an approval process.

If you want to see some bad *** paint check out our link below. I would love to see this come to pass, but to be realistic letting us get unit and lance badges would be really nice.

I would like to have a custom emblem for my Mechs. Just adds a small amount of personalization. I like that the devs had mentioned that you can choose from some pre-designed emblems and colors.
