I have to agree with the OP on this one. This map is in the rotation a lot more then normal. There are 14 maps to rotate through including different variants, but I seem to get the bog at least every third map, sometimes multiple times in a row. I understand that it puts you where you fit in solo drops, especially if you have all three game modes selected, therefore if all three modes are on a separate rotation, some back-to-back map play is going to happen. This seems a little overboard though.
I see the two new maps the most. Bog by far, followed by canyon network, tourmaline and crimson. Then caustic, river city and HPG. On the lower end, I get forest colony, frozen city and terra therma. Very rarely do I even see alpine anymore. Maybe one out of 20-30 games.
So, when I see Bog dominating my queue then the factory map, it gets kinda frustrating. I wouldn't say they are the greatest maps. I get a feeling like I am playing at the entrances to the center of therma's center, just all over these maps. lots and lots of choke points and too many pixels to get caught up on.
My question is when we are going to get a normal sized world where everything, including the trees, shrubs, rocks and buildings. There is no reason that every place that we fight has 150ft tall blocks to line of sight. Yeah, It may be a slaughterfest, but at least it wouldn't make an atlas or dire wolf just seem "normal" and everything else tiny. Heck, why the hell on the bog map does my 100 ton behemoth have issues smashing through rotted logs? Well, other then the fact that a lot of them are over 50 ft thick and over 400 feet long...
