So many variables for Accuracy. How do you fire, chain or volley? Due you use of TAG? Do you suppress movement by firing to fix them into one position? How close to you like to be when firing? How many on the other team have AMS? Due they have Radar Deprivation? Due they move under ECM? Are you targeting those hated ECM mechs? Due you blindly fire at NARCed targets? Due you try firing in underground settings? Due you try to fire below 300 or so meters and hit things that you would not due to a lower flight path of the missiles? Due you like to fire direct fire or indirect fire? How much do you hit your teammates in the back when they move in front of you?

This will be interesting to follow.

Frankly in a match accuracy isn't the issue. It is "Damage Dealt". Compare that to weapons of comparable size that you have equipped for comparable time and see how they look.

The other primary issue for effectiveness is "How many mechs can focus fire on this target at one time"? With direct weapons you have issues limiting total fire on target (LoS, range, friendly mechs in way etc). With LRMs it is a lot easier for multiple mechs to hose down the target.

Finally, look at accuracy itself. Yes it is low compared to other weapons. But what it is also saying is "whenever a mech does get exposed" (eg not in cover, lock lost etc) it is getting totally shat upon by every LRM in range to end up with those 'overall' numbers in the 30% plus range.

I'm neither a big fan nor a big opponent of LRMs, but I do feel that they promote a playstyle that is not good for the game as a whole (both to user and target).
