It feels like it was on purpose. Like someone at PGI thought ECM was such a boost that they needed to ruin the HBR's hitboxes. If only they realized ECM isn't a big deal in higher ELOs.

i just made that meme...
but anyway, i would just expect them to remove all the happy little center torso spots the dotted over the mech and just make it normal...
in other news i just had a 4 kill, 8 assist, 1001 damage game in a nearly cored out hellbringer, all thanks to the power of ecm! 4cermlas, 1gauss. netted me 470k cbills (premium time standard variant) and 25135xp!!!!!!! unlocked the extra module slot in a single game!!!

They need to fix it all and then possibly adjust what they have fixed. Seriously, ECM isn't the big bad boggie man that people love to make it out to be, especially on a mech as large as the Hellbringer. Unlike a Spider or even a Raven which is sometimes hard to spot off in the distance, I have had zero problems seeing the Hellbringer even without the red box and arrow over its head and if you can see it, you can shoot it, well at least with direct fire weapons. Fortunately (or unfortunately if you are in a Hellbringer), 80% of the weapons mounted and used are direct fire weapons. Also it has easily identifiable hit boxes especially with the protruding chest which draw the eye and act as a natural aim point, kind of like a bullseye plus that protruding chest can be easily hit from the sides (unless the change things and make the sides at least partial part of the side torso). Basically my point is, the CT already has enough drawbacks that it doesn't need PGI creating artificial ones just because it has ECM. Honestly it is never going to be a Timber Wolf, no matter what they do so they just need to fix it correctly and be done with it.

And I can confirm this is true. I just played a match on the Maybaline map, and someone was shooting my shoulder through a crack in the crystals, and before i moved I went into 3rd person, and yes. I watched him hit my shoulder, and it went to my CT and turned it orange. Side torso? Nope. Arm? Nope. CT. lool.
Like wow. lol.
and wtf is up with that little blob in the LT?! ROFL.
This is just.. yeah i don't even know lol. just totally wacko.
