With Community Warefare around the corner, will it help us in this harsh economy of earning c-bills, or hinder or progress to them? I'm saying this because it take ALOT of games to get a Dire Wolf for c-bills... Thoughts?

I thought that CW didn't award spacebucks or XP for matches, and that the Pug/Group queues would be required for farming cash?

It's really only a problem if you're playing MWO as Pokemon.

I thought it was supposed to offer similar rewards, only it'll be worse for most people because with no MM protection you'll get stomped by the very best.

So, it's something to do when you have enough c-bills and want to earn loyalty points instead.

Would stay the same if all 4 drop deck mechs cb earnings were totalled and low drop weight bonuses added.

I think your earnings will be much higher. Not only do you increase the number of mechs to kill, but should get paid more. I would love to have a daily injection of c-bills for each planet a faction owns.

Then you suddenly realize that MWO's entire profit stems from pokemon.
(And the game is pokemon currently)

Last time we had more mechs they nerfed earnings.

There is no economy in mwo currently. Economy implies gains and losses. There are only gains

Russ was saying on Twitter that if you used a Hero mech, you would get the 30% Cbill boost for that life, so I imagine we'll get some rewards.

It will just be faster to play the ~8 minute PUG matches than the half hour CW matches. Faster grind, as I understand it.

There's no economy because there's no interaction. You don't need gains to have an economy, you just need stuff people are willing to pay for. Supply and Demand. Right now you can't pay anyone for anything except the store, and that doesn't really count since its supply is infinite and Demand can be zero for all it cares.

Community Warfare from the beginning has been about the End Game Content. It is not meant for new player to engage in. I would hope that PGI institute locks to prevent folks from joining a CW battle if they do not have a full drop deck. Also please do not allow trial mechs in CW.

New players need to earn their stripes before they get to eat with the Tigers! ;)

you are required to have 4 mechs and fit within 140-240 tons. There is no other restrictions and you can bring trials so its not going to be locked from newbs.

You earn in cw but you don't earn as much. Pubs are your money maker. Russ discussed that in 1st townhall

I thought the two economies were wholly seperate. I confess though that I don't understand how that relates to mechs/powerups/modules and such.

*Sadface* It will make for a lousy new player experience... Just saying...

Wish PGI would consider things like this with a bit of greed. Abusing new players in CW will be fun, but soon we will run out of new players and that, I think, is bad for us and PGI.

or they can just stay in the pug world. just have to make it clear CW is hardcore and shouldn't be attempted by new players. yea some people are going to be stupid, but not having CW hasn't stopped stupid people before.

That was russ' statement in the townhall almost word for word.

It's not for the feint of heart. It's going to be "hard"

The numbers would disprove that theory hilarious enough its a grind to gets mechs regardless even if you have that stupid "pokemon" attitude.
