As part of the current protest, a few individuals have decided to lay down in the road as a form of protest.

While I support the right to protest, this is dangerous. Take a look at this formula.

Protester. Remove Common Sense. Add a Drunk in a F350, a Mac Truck with Bad Brakes, or a Little Old Lady with Really Bad Vision. Equals Road Pizza.

If you are going to protest, do it with common sense and stay out of the road. If someone like my elderly Aunt is driving you are going to end up with Road Kill.

Ugh, Protestors. Glad that I don't have to deal with them at the moment.

Protesting peacefully with signs and chants and whatnot is a perfectly American thing to do.

Squatting on other people's private property for 3 months straight, burning or looting stores and beating people up, or lying down on a road to get in everyone else's way, isn't.

The Constitution grants us, among others, the following rights:

1.) Freedom of religion. Be whatever you want. Christian, Jewish, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Atheist, whatever you want, and you can't be persecuted for it.

2.) The right to bear arms, for defense of your home, your country, and your freedoms as an American citizen.

3.) Freedom of speech. Say what you want, whatever you want. Criticize the government. Criticize politicians. Critticize big corporations. Criticize the NRA or the Brady Campaign for Gun Safety. Criticize the Dems or Repubs. Whatever you think needs to be criticized, go for it.

4.) Freedom of assembly. You have the right to gather where you want, to say what you want and do what you want, about whatever issue you want, within the confines of the law.

What you don't have the right to do is disrupt other people's lives using any of the rights listed above, because then it becomes an infringement upon other people's rights, which is a serious problem. Especially when you are interrupting their daily lives, on a daily basis, because for whatever reason you think the only way to make your voice heard is to be a complete idiot.
