if yall are going to insist on making maps so full of clutter and trip hazards that you cant take 3 steps without bumping into, or getting stuck on something, you really need to bring 3pv back to a usable state. the camera drone is all that is needed to remove the advantage 3pv has in a small set of circumstances. forcing arm lock on, and removing sensors is just classic pgi over-nerf. you havent balanced 3pv, you have removed it from the game because there are too many disadvantages for it to be useful in is current state.

How to make 3pv useful without making graybeards mad:
1) Unerf everything involved with 3pv
2) Anything out of LOS of the cockpit in 3pv is grayed out. You may still see terrain, but not ballistics, laser beams, mechs, etc, unless you would logically be able to see them from the cockpit.
3) ???
4) Profit!

Or, they could, you know.... make better maps....
Map design should involve a thought process akin to architectural design and traffic flow management, not based solely on the aesthetics of the map.
The other half of the issue is the movement dynamic for the various weights they implemented (very poorly thought out). Hard edges stop you, even when the entire purpose of a humanoid war machine was to improve performance over conventional vehicles. The mechs should have MORE mobility instead of getting hung on things that a bipedal frame should easily step over.
