Hi all
I was offline from MWO for quite a while due to crashing back to the desktop after clicking play. Wasn't even making it to the login screen.
In the end I discovered that it was my Afterglow universal wireless headset that was conflicting with MWO and another online game ( War Thunder )
The moment I disconnected the headset dongle from the usb port, MWO started working again.
I've lodged a support ticket with afterglow support but still waiting on a response but I find that tips from the gaming community are more reliable and helpful anyway.
I'm running Win XP Prof, 32, SP3. All drivers are up to date...C++, DirectX, etc. All of that was sorted when I was initially having problems accessing MWO.
What I've done so far ?...I attempted to update my USB but it's already upto date.
I attempted to find a driver relevant to my headset but they seem to be non existent on the web or it's all done automatically perhaps when plugged in ?
Gone through Afterglow support FAQ etc. There is a setup guide (once connected ) where you change some settings within the control panel in sounds, but the guide looks to be on a different operating system to mine so I can't find the relevant options within XP.
I've also tried switching the device around between different USB ports.
Hoping someone out there has a better idea as my limited knowledge is grinding my troubleshooting abilities to a halt and this game is the reason I bought the headset in the first place lol.

Whatever you do, DON'T follow their video and disable your headset in the Sound option in your Control Panel!
I did this and it seemed to have broken my headset, I cannot change my modes from the pure audio, Bass Mode and Immerse mode, and the audio seemed to have degraded slightly on me too.
