There is enough for Quad Guass :D 60 pinpoint at 1km plus no longer the realm of DW now.

It wouldn't be 60 at 1km because damage drop off starts at around 660m. Also, you can only charge two at once. There is a reason we don't see that build on Dire Wolves.

Additionally IS Gauss uses 7 of the 10 open crits in that arm. So that wouldn't fit either.

Just pray that the other variants don't get any Ballistic hadpoints on the LT/RT. We don't want an AC/60 or an AC/80 King Crab

If you even had the slots on the side torsos, that would be 56 tons and no possibility of used endo, FF, or XL engines. You'd be stuck with a STD250 and around 3 tons of ammo if you stripped a lot of armor.
21 shots wouldn't be enough, although it would be fun to chainfire. :)

And anything over 2xGauss is a waste of time now because of the desync. The 7 slots are too big to double in the arms anyway.

They will probably all have a base complement of 2 ballistic (arms), 1 energy (rt) and 1 missile (lt) with each variant receiving extras of one of the types.

Four ballistics in the arms was always a possibility, and since the base stock mechs offer very little differentiation, seems pretty clear to me that one of them will have 4x ballistics in the arms.

None of the variants move any ballistics into the sides and that would be very out of character for PGI to do so.

Just pointing one thing: in 3052 there is a version that uses dual gauss, as it says in Sarna.net: "ComStar's techs replaced the twin autocannons with two M-7 Gauss Rifles and four tons of ammo in the arms"... This gives 7 crits (Gauss) + 4 crits (4 ammo magazine), so it MAY be of 11 crits since it also says that it replaced the twins... So, we MAY get 11 crits as well in this one ( King Crab KGC-000).

Math fail. 2 tons per arm is 2 + 7 = 9 (of 10 free)

That's not so much of a math fail rather than a reading comprehension fail. Four tons of ammo in the arms = 2 tons per arm not 4 in each arm.

4AC20s? Really small engine, less armor, the first Annihilator....lol...

The first mech able to reliably 2 shot a DW.

You wouldn't get 2 alphas off, the ghost heat from the first volley would shut you down if not cause an engine explosion outright. Ghost heat from AC/20s ramps up pretty quick.

Hum... Well, this explains alot >.> Thanks then o/ But it still doesn't answear how they put LBX20 by only upgrading the AC/20s... (For those who doesn't know, each LBX20 uses 11 crits)

Crit splitting, which MWO does not currently support.

More than likely, they will remove the hand and LAA to allow for AC20s to fit, giving it 10 slots.

About the variants:

In case someone don't know how the King Crab variants will be, I bet on this:

KGC-000 (or KGC-0000, the stock variants are almost identical)
RA 2b
RT 1e
LT 1m
LA 2b

KGC-0000 (or KGC-000)
RA 1b
RT 2e
LT 2m
LA 1b

KGC-010 (if not replaced by a "PGI variant")
RA 1b
RT 1e,1m
LT 1e,1m
LA 1b

KGC-000b is Star League Royal and will probably not be included.
