The spiders has 2 lasers and the Mist lynx has 2 lasers, why is one significantly bigger than the other?


Please fix this.

He doesn't even get 10 TrueDubs either.

It runs way too hot, the spider with the same weapons can fire almost twice as much.


Those hit boxes though, the arms on the MLX are GIANT.

Because of the 7 TrueDubs, he requires 12 DHS to match the dissipation of 10 TrueDubs.

While still maintaining that wasted ton on the AP.

LOL, dont cry about MLX big guns, they will replace them with a little needle instead of the piddly laser pods. THis game already has a "gun shrinking" issue...

The biggest issue appears to be the generic mounting box being much larger than the laser nub itself...if the box was the same size as the nub, it would help quite a bit.

Also, instead of putting a laser on the top and bottom, it should put both of them on the side just like the Death's Knell Commando. Much more efficient use of the space it has.

Why does an MLX need 5 cockpits?

This might actually be Lostech.

It could be an art design issue though (form over function)... trying to put the MLX-B's right arm (1E, 2M) increases the chance of arm removal (just take a look at it from the side). I'm not even sure how to respond to that.

The Panther needs its energy hardpoints stacked a little wide.

Having it shifted to the left and right of the arm would be better than increasing that arm size unnecessarily (as it is the primary target of most pilots).

also my current kitfox has a large laser on her right kfx-c and a large laser on her left kfx-s arms of significantly different sizes
(not at home right now so no screenshot)...

That's the least of your problems. The Kitfox is known to have uneven arms in lore (like the Summoner).

The Mist Lynx AFAIK doesn't have that, and manages to have the bottommost lasers shooting symmetrically.

It's freaking magical.

JJs are moderately useful(while 4 would be a nicer number) while the AP is completely wasted on anything but Streaks or ERLL builds...which it can't effectively take.

We need some more people to tweet these to Russ and maybe we'll get smaller lasers.

What I'm scared of is that Russ would have the art department simply reduce the MLX's laser nub instead of the mounting box. The mounting box is the problem here. The nub is about the same size as any other, it's just that damned box around it that's too big. Reducing the nub without touching the box wouldn't really help the mech very much.

It's kinda what makes the Jenner-F looks terrible. It feels literally like an addon to the arm, increasing its size (although the Jenner has favorable arms).

What PGi really needs to address as well are the ballistic hardpoints on the 4G (second and third) and the Centurion-AH "3rd ballistic hardpoint "stump".

Just so much Frankenmeched Legomechs...
