I am a long time player of Star Trek Online love the game and hopefully Mechwarrior will get the same support. But in Star Trek I have my own team, my own ships and we have fleet ships and fleet and individual missions. But getting to the point in a Fleet mission you have to play with 5 individual players they are the best mission but good players are like gold they are hard to find You play in a mission were your friend don't understand the game or they 're part and everyone gets taken out. After a number of those mission that can get frustrating so in Star Trek you can retire to doing the individual mission until you are not angry anymore and you can get back to finding those rare player who are good.
That is my only scare.

Step 2 Find good people. Friend list them.
Step 3 ???

Look at the 'easy' setting on a lot of games these days, some people complain its still too hard. Either they are just lazy, and want to watch the game play itself, or really lack the coordination to play video games. i.e me3 easy mode is a joke...

Seriously, though, if you want to get the best gameplay out of a team-based PvP game, start building a friend's list. Joining a guild/clan/merc corps is great if you're willing to get that far into it, but just having a few people you know you can hop into a server with and count on having at least a bit of backup can make your experience a lot better.

LOL indeed.
Friends list is where it's at though, then create a vent room and hang out with your friends!

I'm very sad to say that F2P games do attract a lot of clueless people who judging by the way they play games probably can't turn on the computer by themselves.

Yea it may only be a game but it's still easy for 1 person to ruin the efforts of the rest of the team (like if some jerk shoots your only assault mech in the back a few times for no reason).
That's like saying,Meh it's only dinner.... who cares if your kid flipped the pizza over on the floor (messing up all the cheese and toppings) because he didn't want sausage? You can still eat it just fine but it will taste about 1/5th as good as it would have been before someone ruined it.
One thing that really bothers me too is that a lot of people aren't realizing that they are fail (especially in the example I provided above).

It's like that old fortune cookie crap about light and dark. To have good players, one must have a pants on head ****** from which you can compare.
