How do I adjust the controls so pressing "A", for instance, doesn't move my view left as I turn?

It's annoying having "A" an "D" also turning where I'm looking. It doesn't seem natural.

Thanks for the help!

There is no way, you'll have to compensate by twisting to keep looking in the same direction.

You WANT it to be this way. You can turn your upper torso faster by using the legs to turn in the same direction at the same time.

It's the nature of the mechanics of the thing. If you don't move your torso when you move your legs, then ipso facto your torso isn't moving relative to the legs, which means that moving your legs inherently moves your torso. This can be compensated for, or even used to your advantage, by twisting simultaneously with turning (super useful for tracking close-in fast movers in a slow boat). It also increases the skill cap somewhat for maneuver warfare, as it offers an avenue of skill for maintaining tracking on a target while also trying to maneuver to avoid or mitigate damage, and anything that moves MWO away from point-and-click "skill" combat is a good thing.

You could map Center Legs to a button that you constantly hold down.
While the button is held down, you can steer with your mouse.
Not what you're looking for, but maybe something you might be interested in.

Darn. Was it always like this?

I've been away a while. Tried to drive my Locust last night and had a heck of a time aiming, which I didn't seem to have before.
